Psst*, who's that figure in the dark? Oh! It's Michelle!

Michelle is on the lookout for a home!

Since spending time solo, Michelle is more then ready for friends. Coming in at 156g, she's a small gal with a lot to give, but her size does mean she's looking for some sweet, gentle cagemates in a smaller group who aren't likely to pick on her. This little honey is also recovering well from an RI and would be best suited to a home able to meet her unique needs.

If you think Michelle's your match, send us an application today via the website link in our bio.

Meet Toasty; oddball ex street rat with zero modeling instinct, and cryptid weirdo. Cameras fear him.

Toasty has been living it up in foster care since being surrendered as a stray, but his laid back nature doesn't scream 'lust for life'. His favourite activity is doing a quick lap of the perimeter, then doing his Blair Witch impersonation in the corner. Doesn't get out of bed for less than a bowl of .

Toasty has an odd little found family of four, including one desexed old softie and two tailless babies, all looking for the right person, together. If you want a rat that acts like an antisocial alien in your home, but comes with some very cuddly mates, Toasty might be your boy.

Calling out for homes and foster carers for a trio of friendly, healthy male rats who are in an unsafe situation with a hard time limit. Sebastian, Linguini and Soap need you, check out their profiles on the website under Adopt or email us for more info. Thier loving human would much rather keep them but is putting their well-being first, let's give them community when they need it most!

When it comes to rescue work, adoption is always the goal. We love it when we get updates from adopters as the rats settle in to happy homes! Whether they're growing into their personalities, tickling their new owners with their whisker kisses, or snoozing away, it warms our hearts to know these ratties have found a place in loving families.

Trio of brothers Bipin, Bob Bob and Gary (formerly Fitz and Reyn) and sister duo Tofu and Salem couldn't be luckier to have landed where they have.

Adoption starts with a conversation. Done your ratty research and keen to adopt? Check out our website for available rats through the rescue and Supported Self Rehoming program and put in your application to help pocket puppies like these find their homes.

Remember the emergency rescue mission to save an orphaned litter? We're delighted to share that eight have already been ADOPTED 🎉

These babies had a rocky start when their mum Blaire passed away suddenly, and underwent a massive group effort of hand feeding and road trips to save them. They arrived stressed and dehydrated but alive; a victory under the circumstances.

Thanks to the work of their amazing foster carer, and surrogate rat mum Cleo, they pulled through and started thriving again.
Once they weaned, we started them on Rodent Origins and they've grown up into such happy, healthy, friendly little rats, you'd never guess they'd had a hard day in their lives.

It takes a village, and we sure have a great one. Between all the volunteers who drove all that way, the foster carer, the loving owners who saved them that first night, Vetafarm for covering our food, the donors and the adopters. Good work everyone, we did it!

PARTNER ANNOUNCEMENT

Rachie's is delighted to announce a once more partnership with Vetafarm!

Vetafarm has been a phenomenal support to the rescue, providing supply of their quality rat food Origins for our rescues.

We find that Vetafarm Rodent Origins and a good serve of fresh veg is the simplest and most accessible way to create a balanced diet for rats.

There's plenty of kibbles, blocks and home mixes out there, and we've had thousands of rats come in over the years, on just about any diet you can imagine, with varying results.

When we're helping people get the basics right so their rats can have happy lives, robust immune systems and no risk of missing some critical nutrient in a DIY mix, it's Origins we've recommended, and used for our own rats, from the beginning, long before Vetafarm started generously sponsoring our work.

We're extremely grateful to Vetafarm for helping us to keep our rats happy and healthy!
