Scent Work Skill Builder class now open for bookings!

This is the follow on from my Scent Work Starter Course and for any dog on odour.

It is not a course that you will commit to for the duration. Just sign up for the dates that suit you!

Each class will have options for different experience levels, therefore spaces are limited!

Starting on Sunday the 6th of September at 2:30pm.

This course goes for 6 weeks, teaching you and your dog the fundamentals of learning, as well as introducing odour and searching.

Freya, a very much beloved border collie, recently faced a serious gastrointestinal illness that has led to unexpectedly high vet bills. Carol, her dedicated owner, is doing everything she can to care for her, but the costs are becoming overwhelming.

Veldjager Stanley (imp NZ) passed his first leg of his Working Novice Pack Dog backpacking title today 🙌

He had the best day, his tail wagged the whole distance.

Stanley had a starting weight of 15% of his body weight and walked 17km, making many friends along the way.

Thank you to the Dalmatian Association of Queensland for hosting; and judge Christine Stevens. It’s been lovely trialing my own dogs instead of judging 💕🐾 although I am looking forward to judging tomorrow 🤗

Last weekend Bam and I completed 66km of 193km required for a Working Pack Dog Excellence title. It was a tough slog through a beautiful part of the granite belt, but worth every step.

Bam started the event with 30% of his bodyweight (just shy of 12kg) in his pack and we camped out in frosty temperatures for 2 nights.

What I love about this sport the most is how much it strengthens the bond between the dog and the handler.

New Classes in Ipswich!

I am now taking bookings for my next Scent Work Starter 6 week course; this class is aimed towards dogs that have not started scent work training or need a reboot.

Spaces are limited to 6 dogs; classes are weekly on Sundays, 2:30pm at Stacked Pack Dogs, 9/19 Mining St, Bundamba.
