Bless these menπΎππ₯°
Hereβs a paw-sitive story to start your day! πΎ
While on patrol at Darwin Airport, AFP officers discovered two abandoned puppies in bushland near the Darwin International Airport. They were all alone and clearly in need of care.
After working to gain their trust, the officers brought the puppies back to the station and shared food from their own lunches with the very hungry duo. The puppies were welcome visitors, becoming honorary station dogs for the day.
The officers then contacted the appropriate authorities to ensure the pups werenβt missing pets and receive clearance to care for the puppies.
This tail has a very happy ending!
One of the puppies, now named Bingo has found its forever home with one of the rescuing AFP officers, and the other adventurous pup, who we nicknamed Bluey, has also been adopted by a colleague in Australian Border Force.
Bingo and Bluey are now getting lots of love, care and attention from their new forever families, thanks to our eagle-eyed officers who spotted them in the course of their duties!
