Brenden from Australian Aquarium Cleaning recently helped bring this 500L aquarium back to life.

The tank had been left for a while and had a lot of algae, but after a proper clean, equipment upgrade, and a careful check of the plants and setup, it was ready for its first new fish.

One of the best parts of this job was seeing little Jasmine’s excitement as the fish were added. How cute is she? Kids absolutely love fish, and an aquarium is such a beautiful way for them to watch, learn, and connect with nature at home.

In this video, we added a small starting group of fish, including Corydoras catfish, bristlenose catfish, balloon lamp light tetras, a neon blue acara, and salmon red rainbow fish.

Because this is a large 5x2x2 aquarium, the long-term plan is to build it up slowly with schooling fish, rainbow fish, native-style species, and bottom dwellers. Adding too many fish at once can overload the system, so patience is key.

Mini mollies… and LOTS of them 😅🐟
We are servicing a 4-foot Aqua One Australia tank today at and this tank is absolutely swarming.
When you feed quality food, maintain the system properly, and keep fish healthy… sometimes nature takes over.
We’re talking close to 100 mini mollies breeding in this on , beautiful yellow with black speckles, but definitely out of control. Good care + good food (yes, that Tetra USA Tetra XL colour granules 👌) = thriving fish.

Ha Sometimes a little too thriving. If your tank is overstocked, breeding like crazy, or just needs a proper service, we can help.

Six months ago, our client called us in shock. Their tank was leaking, and they were really worried about the fish.

We could’ve tried to patch it, but it wasn’t worth the risk. So we helped them start fresh replacing it with an incredible Brilliance 5-foot, we got everything transferred safely, and gave the tank the time and care it needed to properly settle.

Fast forward to now, and it’s exactly what you want to see: clear water, stable conditions, and fish that look strong and settled.

In this reel, we get right up close, then add the newest crew to the tank, a fresh release of salmon red rainbowfish. Once they’re in, it’s pure movement and personality: Praecox rainbows cruising through the water column, red line torpedo barbs cutting through the middle, giant danios keeping the pace up, and the glowlight cherry rosy barbs flicking around the plants.

The greenery has settled in beautifully too, vallis filling out the sides, Java fern holding strong, crypts pumping in the centre, all anchored by dragon rock and driftwood.

And then there’s the panchax. Those red edges on the tail are unreal.

Aquarium Upgrade for Tim

Brenden from Australian Aquarium Cleaning recently assisted his customer with a new build to replace his existing Aquarium. The old aquarium had a catastrophic failure, So Tim and Brenden enlisted us to make sure the new replacement would have a very long service life. Measuring 1397mm L x 596mm W x 900mm H, Braced with 15mm Glass. Featuring Genuine PPG Starphire Glass on both long sides and 1 end to allow for optimal viewing perspective.
