A stray cockatiel was brought into our clinic yesterday and is currently in our care. 💛

Unfortunately, this little bird has no identification tag, but we suspect they may be someone’s much-loved pet. 🏡❤️

🩷🐾 Say hello to beautiful little Roxy! 🐾🩷

This gorgeous 8 monthbold Cavoodle came to visit us for what was meant to be her Spey (desexing) procedure. ✂️🩺

However, Roxy had a little adventure of her own before her procedure! 😅🙈 She unfortunately managed to get into some of her parents’ medication at home, so instead of proceeding with her Spey, our team needed to perform an emesis procedure to safely make her vomit up the medication. 💊➡️🤢

Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and we were able to safely get Roxy back on track! 💕✨

We then rebooked her Spey procedure for the following Monday, and she absolutely smashed it! 🥰🎉 Her procedure was a success, and Roxy has recovered beautifully. 🩷🐶

📸 Here she is enjoying some very special cuddles with Dr Anja before her Spey procedure. 🥹💕 We think she was feeling pretty comfortable in her arms!

Roxy's story is also a great reminder that medications should always be kept safely out of reach of our curious four-legged family members. 🐾💊🔒 If your pet gets into something they shouldn't, don't wait, give use a call for advice. 📞🩺

This adorable Golden Retriever puppy came in to visit us for her vaccinations! 🥰💉 Sari was such a good girl and loved all the attention from our team! 🐶✨

💙 Say hello to the very handsome George! 🐾

This gorgeous Golden Retriever came to visit us after his owner noticed he had eaten some raisins. Thankfully, they called us straight away and George was brought in promptly to induce vomiting. 👏

George was a little too stubborn for us and unfortunately didn’t bring up any raisins! 😂 After reassessing our plan, we recommended that he stay with us for the day for hospitalisation and IV fluids. 💧

The IV fluids helped to maintain hydration and blood flow to his kidneys, support kidney function and reduce the risk of complications from potential raisin toxicity, while allowing our veterinary team to monitor him closely. 🩺🫘

Raisins and grapes can be toxic to dogs and may cause serious kidney problems, so if you suspect your pet has eaten any, it’s important to contact your vet straight away, even if they seem perfectly fine! 🚨

George received lots of care and cuddles from Nurse Jasmine while he was with us. 💕👩‍⚕️🐾

🦷💙 Sweet Ren was all smiles after her dental day! 🐶✨

Meet Ren, a gorgeous 5 year old British Bulldog who visited us for a Dental Scale & Polish after her family noticed she had some unpleasant-smelling breath. 👃🦷

Once Ren was safely under her general anaesthetic, Dr Emma performed a thorough dental examination, scale and polish. During the procedure, she discovered that one of Ren's teeth was half fractured and no longer healthy, so it was in Ren's best interest to have it extracted. 🦷💉

Ren actually had a Dental Scale & Polish with us last year, which is a great reminder that even with regular yearly dental procedures, we never truly know what's happening beneath the surface until we can perform a full assessment under a general anaesthetic. Some dental problems simply aren't visible while pets are awake, making routine dental care so important for maintaining their overall health. 🩺💙

The good news is that Ren was an absolute superstar throughout her visit! 🌟 She thoroughly enjoyed soaking up all the cuddles, attention and love from our wonderful Nurse Erika 💕 and Receptionist Adelle 🥰, making her stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Well done, Ren! We hope your breath is much fresher, your mouth is feeling more comfortable, and you're back to enjoying all your favourite treats (with a little extra care, of course!). 🐾💙
