One of the questions asked tonight was, “Where was one of Maggie’s favourite places to go?” The answer was simple - Arrivederci Pizzeria.

A heartfelt thank you to David and his team for always being so accommodating.

Thank You for Being Part of Maggie’s Journey

This week, we say a heartbreaking farewell to our beloved Maggie.

For six incredible years, Maggie walked beside me as my assistance dog—steadfast, loyal, and always attuned to me in ways words could never capture. She carried me through life’s hardest moments, offering comfort, strength, and unconditional love.

And over the past two years, she has enjoyed a well-earned retirement with the family at home, but at 14, time has finally caught up with her.

Though her spirit remains strong, the kindest thing we can do is let her go with dignity and peace, surrounded by love.

To everyone who has followed Maggie’s journey, shared in her adventures, and supported her over the years—thank you. Maggie touched so many lives, and knowing she was loved by so many brings great comfort.

If Maggie made you smile, if she inspired you, or if you simply want to honour her memory, please consider giving a little to Happy Paws Happy Hearts Foundation, a wonderful organisation that create positive connections between socially isolated Australians and rescue animals. Your support can change lives, just as Maggie changed mine.

Run free, my beautiful girl. You have done your job so well. You will be in our hearts always.

Merry Christmas everyone

PSA: (Puppy Service Announcement)

An alarming situation has recently arisen at my favourite cafe, Cenzo's Cafe & Bar.

There has been a notable lack of the famous canine cuisine, otherwise known as Cenzo’s Doggie Treats.

I bark on behalf of my four legged community (cats excluded) for the return of the decadent treats and seek Vince’s immediate action in overturning this disastrous situation.

Surely our Local Member, Corrine McMillan MP can have the appropriate minister address this horrible scenario.

Think about it - No treats = Unresponsive Dog = No Barking at Strangers in our Driveway - it's a state crime issue.

Please bring back the treats Cenzos, if not for me but for the safety of the community.

Sincerely

Maggie May

Today is National Day for War Animals, where we acknowledge the sacrifices animals have made in service to Australia.

From the Mounted Infantry horses that braved World War I battlefields to the explosive detection dogs that served with Australians in Afghanistan, animals have played a part in every conflict our nation has been involved in.

Wear a purple poppy in recognition of the deeds and sacrifices our four-legged and feathered diggers have made and continue to make while serving alongside our troops.
