Bruno handled his second Royal show very well, educating the public and strutting his stuff in the ring.

Came away with two best of breeds, then being shortlisted top 8 for group in show 2! 🥳🥳 Couldn't have been prouder of our little nudie boy

Sorry we've been a bit quiet here lately.

Life has sure been life-ing lately, but we have some exciting news.
Scarlett was mated to Bruno 2 weeks ago, so fingers crossed for a positive pregnancy scan in 2 weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻

In the meantime, we will have Bruno at the Ekka on the 10th August to strut his stuff at the show, so come down and say hi if you're around. Check out his amazing bench banner we had made 😍

Standard Xolo looking for a n3w 🏡

Meet Dos, he’s a one-year-old male Xolo, otherwise known as a Mexican Hairless.

🥰 Dos is so incredibly sweet; he's a real lover of his people.

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗫𝗼𝗹𝗼?
The Xolo is a rare primitive breed that does best with owners who are happy to provide training, rules, and boundaries. They are best suited to experienced dog owners as they can be highly manipulative and headstrong (like human teenagers😂). As a breed, they are incredibly smart but not terribly biddable unless there’s something in it for them (you know people like this too eh?! 😂).

🧐 They naturally can be aloof, suspicious, and cautious of strangers and the unknown, but they tend to love “their” people hard and people within their “village”. They are classified as an "Alert/Guard" Dog, which means they'll alert you to things they think you should know about.

⭐ Dos came to Sydney as a 4-month-old to campaign in the show ring, but he said he didn’t want to, and his handler respected that. So instead of going back to his breeder, his handler socialised him and titled him in Scent work (Novice) and SprintDog (41 pt average with no handicap). He has a lot of potential to continue on and win more pretty ribbons and have heaps of fun! 🏆

Dos's Mum was imported to Australia from Mexico, which is the country of origin for the Xolo, and his Dad is a Supreme Champion and sports titled dog from Victoria.

🛋️ He doesn’t have to do sports, he can just be a couch companion. He is a very, very sweet boy to the people he knows. He is an active boy who’ll need daily walks, training and other fun stuff to do.

👍 Dos is naked other than hair on his head, tail and feet - he does not require an in-depth skin protocol, his skin is easy to care for but he does get cold just like you would if you didn’t have clothes so you’ll need a budget for jumpers!

Dos is very muscular, he's a bit of a unit, actually 😵‍💫

Sol update. He's safe and sound in his new owner's loving arms after a big trip down south.

Well Sol is off to his new home.

Wasn't without its drama though; we barely made lodgement due to accidents on the highway causing massive traffic delays 😵 could only happen on a day I needed to be somewhere promptly.

Have safe flights little man! The house will feel empty without you 😭😭

Snuffle mats are are great way to exploit a dog's natural instinct to sniff.
Sniffing is calming, so hiding their dinner or some treats in one not only stops them inhaling their food in a matter of seconds, but also engages their brain.
A win win!
