Hello everyone, we arrived in the UK yesterday with our 2 dogs, thought I would share our journey from Miami to CDG then to the UK.
We checked in with Air France with the dogs, we were checked in first then they took the dogs paperwork and checked them in too. We were then told to bring dogs back an hour and half before flight. We were able to give them plenty of walks, p*es and a little food. Took them back to check in where TSA checked over crates and put dogs in and zip tied doors, they then took them away, which made me sad 😒
Got onto plane and asked air hostess to confirm they were on board.
After a good flight we got through security in 15 minutes, retrieved our cases and went straight to excess baggage. The dogs were waiting for us there. They seemed absolutely fine. We put crates on a trolley and went outside to pick up area. Cut off zip ties and let dogs p*e and p**p.
Air & Ground Pet Transport Service ere waiting for us, our driver, Chloe was amazing, helped us with cases, crates and dogs. She stopped somewhere so they could p*e before going on to the Chunnel.
First we went to get the dogs paperwork checked, dogs came in too. Air & Ground Pet Transport Service dealt with all of that, they then scanned both their microchips. Everything was fine, all my stressing for nothing.
Then we went through French border control, just had to show passports, then on to English Border control, then on to the Chunnel.
I have stressed so much over this day but I can honestly say I needn’t of, the dogs are great and were such troopers throughout. Air& Ground Pet Transport Services was a godsend to us.
We are now happily settled in our temporary house until we buy ours.

Why are cats not taken for walks in transport? 🚐

The safety and comfort of animals are most important in transporting. Cats stay in transporters because open space and unfamiliar surroundings could put them under stress, which may result in escaping. Transporter acts as a sanctuary - places where they feel safer.

However, it happens that some cats feel severe stress. In such situations, we respond with care: we calm them down, speak to them in a gentle tone and caress them so that they feel the presence of a person. We never take them for a walk during a trip though – that would be too risky.

Thanks to this, cats arrive to a place safe, calmer and in good condition, and caregivers can be confident that their pets are in the right hands.
