When people ask us why we love our job…🩺🐾

We won’t lie, part of it is definitely the endless access to puppy cuddles 👀 But it’s also the suspicious lumps, skin infections, ultrasounds, ex-laps, weeping eyes, funny tummies and anything & everything in between. Our days are an ever evolving mix of problem-solving, intuition, curiosity, and connection and we’re endlessly fascinated by all of it!

Maybe cleaning p**p and knowing the peculiar smell of a**l glands isn’t for everyone…but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Because getting to help the four-legged mates that make our lives infinitely better? Thats something pretty special to us 🥹

Quick paws up - we’ll be taking a little breather this Monday for the Labour Day public holiday 💛

If your bud needs any meds or preventatives to tide them over, give us a buzz this arvo or pop in tomorrow (we’re open 9–12) and we’ll get you all sorted ✨

And not to worry, we’ll be back in action Tuesday, ready to tackle any problem, big or small 🐶🐱

Yesterday was World Vet Day so we want to give a huge shoutout to the humans behind the scrubs - Dev, Maddie & Claire - who do so much for our buds, both in front of and behind the scenes 💛🐾

From check-ups and vaccines to surgeries, radiographs, blood tests, faecal tests, urine tests (so. many. tests!!)… no two days are ever the same, and yet you handle it all with kindness, compassion, and so much grace.

Amid the mischief and chaos, you’re the calm voices, the steady guidance, the attentive listeners, and the skilled problem-solvers who we trust wholeheartedly with our buds. We can’t thank you enough for the long hours, the gentle hands, and the huge hearts you show up with, day in and day out. You make a difference in ways that words might not explain, but our buds feel every single day 🤍

WEATHER ALERT: Sweaty Betty Season 🔥

Another absolutely cooked weekend is coming in hot, with temps climbing into the high 30s by Monday 🥵☀️

If you feel like you’re melting, then your bud is probably hotter than a Bunnings snag on a Sunday! Time to crank that aircon, ice those water bowls, and start and finish walks well before the footpath becomes a frying pan 🫠

Keep an eye out for heat induced red flags:
☀️ Heavy panting
☀️ Lethargy / no interest in play
☀️ Excessive drooling
☀️ Unsteady legs
☀️ Vomiting and/or diarrhoea

If something feels off, trust your gut. Give us a call on 07 3733 3500 or head straight to your nearest emergency vet.

We might survive on pool dips and iced bevvies but our buds are counting on us to keep things cool ❄️🐾

We don’t know who fast-forwarded 2025, but we’d like a quiet word. Our brains are mush, our hearts are full, and our team is officially clocking off to eat too much pud and aggressively love our own buds for a few rainy Chrissy days

🎄 We’ll be CLOSED from Christmas Day and back to our usual antics on 5 January 🎄

This time of year always hits us right in the feels. Getting to care for your buds, share the good days, the tough days, and everything in between is genuinely the greatest privilege. Thank you for trusting us, laughing with us, crying with us, and letting us do the best job in the world every single day. You lot are truly the MVPs 🥹❤️

If you need urgent vet care while we’re closed, head to the link in our bio for a list of emergency centres open over the break. The closest to us is Animal Emergency Centre at 14 Cleveland Street, Stones Corner.

Now go give your buds an unreasonably large hug from their besties in scrubs and we’ll see you in 2026 ✨
