Just a heads up, we’re closed today for the King’s Birthday public holiday 👑 The team is off enjoying a royal day of rest.

If you’re concerned about your bud, we’re concerned too. Hit the link in our bio for a map of the nearest emergency centres. The closest one to Hey Bud is the Animal Emergency Centre at 14 Cleveland Street, Stones Corner, (07) 3456 0500.

Otherwise, we’ll be back tomorrow morning with the treat jar fully stocked.

Many pats 🐾

We are so excited and thrilled to let you all know that we won the Bulimba Electorate Small Business Awards under Trades and Services 🏆

As you can tell, Georgia seems to have an inflated sense of self and forgets that she’s been on maternity leave…. But in all seriousness, thank you so much to our little community for voting for us, trusting us and letting us into your magical lives and families. We feel so truly blessed.

Also congratulations to the whole team for creating a service that people can’t imagine living without 😍😍😍

Lions, tigers & bears? Oh my! 🦁💛❤️💙

Shout out to this lion who just happens to be one of our very own buds 🐾

We’re putting our paws together and cheering on our Brisbane Lions as they take on this weekend’s semi-final against the Hawks.

Here’s to massive roars, spectacular marks, and one more step towards the big dance 🕺🏼👀🦁

Good luck to the whole team. We’ll be backing you all the way! ❤️💙💛

Through wet, blurry eyes we said goodbye to our incredible Sophie today 😭😭

Soph is off to focus on her zoology studies and we couldn’t be more supportive and proud of her for chasing her dreams. 🤩

While our Woolies order for lollies may be significantly smaller, the space she’s leaving in this place is significantly larger. Our hearts, the hearts of our clients and the hearts of our patients are going to have a big gaping hole in them in her absence.

Thank you for every bit of love, kindness, compassion and hard work you gave this place, Soph. We know you’ll end up doing incredible things for wildlife and the environment out there (you already are!) and we are going to miss you more than words can say.

It’s not goodbye, it’s more of a see you soon ❤️

Hey! Just a heads up we’re closed today, off enjoying some Ekka strawberry sundaes ourselves 🍓 hope you’re doing the same, wherever you are.

If your bud isn’t feeling their best while we’re off having fun, the closest emergency vet is AEC Stones Corner on 07 3456 0500. If you’re concerned, we’re concerned, so don’t hesitate to give them a call.

Back to normal tomorrow. Many pats 🐾

📞 ring ring… it’s your new work besties calling.

We’re on the hunt for a Vet Nurse or Vet Tech to join the Hey Bud crew. 🐾

If you’re the kind of person who loves great medicine, great banter, and genuinely giving a damn about pets and their people, we reckon we should probably meet.

Tap the link in our bio for all the details. We can’t wait to hear from you. 🤩

We’re not saying Amelia has settled in quickly… but we’re also not convinced she wasn’t secretly working here this whole time. 👀

Meet Amelia, our new People Person! 💛

She joins us with experience from both inside and outside the veterinary world, but what you’ll notice first is her warmth. She’s a professional yapper, always up for a laugh, and has the kind of energy that makes you feel welcome before she’s even said hello properly. Don’t be surprised if you find her sitting on the floor making friends with your dog, winning over your cat, or offering you and your bud a treat from the lolly jars.

Outside the clinic, Amelia will tell you herself: she’s basically a grandma. Craft project on the go, good book within arm’s reach, and any spare moment spent with her animals.

If you’re in over the next little while, make sure you say hello. We have a feeling you’ll love her just as much as we already do 🐾

Today we say goodbye to our gorgeous Liv with heavy, but incredibly supportive hearts 😭🥺

Liv is off to begin an exciting new opportunity in a different field, and while we’re so proud of her, we’re going to miss her warmth and light more than we can put into words.

While she’ll always be part of the Hey Bud story, and we’ll be cheering her on from the sidelines every step of the way, it’s going to feel a little strange not seeing her smiley face around the clinic each day.

Thank you Liv, for caring so deeply about our buds, their families, and our team. You’ve left your mark on this little place and we’ll always be grateful for the chapter we got to share with you.

We’ll miss you endlessly, but we can’t wait to see where this next adventure takes you.

Once a Hey Bud, always a Hey Bud 💛

Winter just isn’t the same without your four-legged hot water bottle curled up beside (or on) you! ❄️

🚨 WE’RE HIRING OUR PEOPLE PERSON 🚨

With recruitment on the mind, Dr Dev has had some pretty cooked dreams but this might be the reality if we can’t find our People Person, and no one wants that.
