🐾 Could you be Marmalade’s family?

Beautiful Marmalade is looking for a very special local family through our Lovelocks Guardian Family Program.

Marmalade has a lovely gentle, affectionate nature. She is engaged with people, makes beautiful eye contact and is already showing herself to be a willing, trainable little girl who enjoys connecting and working with you.

She will live with her guardian family as their much-loved family dog, while remaining part of the Lovelocks breeding program for a limited period.

We are looking for a family who lives within approximately one hour of Regency Downs / the Lockyer Valley, values training and socialisation, and wants their dog to be genuinely included in everyday family life.

Marmalade is a very special little girl, so we are looking for the right family for her. She will be ready to leave Lovelocks in the coming weeks.

Maple (Maggie x Elvis)

It feels like yesterday we were cuddling this tiny Maple, and now she’s grown into this beautiful young girl.

One of the most rewarding parts of breeding is seeing our puppies leave our care and become cherished family members.

Thank you to Maple’s family for loving her so well, and to Jess at jess | Bear’s Barking Lot 🧸 for giving her such a calm, positive first full groom experience.

🤍 Did you know both of these dogs are caramel? 🤎

Caramel in Australian Cobberdogs isn’t one particular coat shade. It describes brown/liver (aka Rose) pigment — which means caramel dogs can range from very pale, cool creams through to rich, warm copper tones.

And that beautiful variation comes down to genetics, colour intensity and the combination of genes a puppy inherits.

The Lovelocks Puppy Park 🌿

Our puppy park is much more than just a place for puppies to play.

It’s an intentionally created space where our puppies can explore different surfaces, textures, smells, sounds, obstacles and environments as they grow all at their own pace.

I love watching them work things out for themselves: climbing over logs, investigating the gardens, digging in the sand, balancing on new surfaces and simply becoming more confident in the world around them.

These little everyday experiences are an important part of how we raise our puppies at Lovelocks. Enrichment doesn’t need to mean constant stimulation sometimes the best learning happens when puppies are simply given a safe, interesting environment and the freedom to explore.

Over the coming weeks I’ll share a little update on the puppy park itself too, because it’s had quite the refresh ready for our next group of little explorers. 🤎

Could you be the right Guardian Family for a Lovelocks Cobberdog?

Our Guardian Program gives selected Lovelocks breeding dogs the opportunity to live full-time with a loving family while remaining part of our breeding program for a limited period.

We’re looking for families who can offer more than just a lovely home we’re looking for people with the time and commitment to keep their dog well trained, well groomed, thoughtfully socialised and genuinely included in everyday family life.

Guardian Families also need to live within a reasonable distance (60-90 minutes) of Lovelocks (Lockyer Valley) and be happy to stay closely connected with us, including regular visits so their dog remains comfortable and familiar here.

In return, you’ll welcome a carefully selected Lovelocks dog into your family, receive ongoing support from us, and be part of something genuinely special.
