Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm introducing a new range of doggie colognes in the salon - Magictails and PurePets is a small Queensland based business that makes beautiful shampoos, conditioners and grooming sprays with natural ingredients. We have the entire range, including Frangipani (she's missing as she's currently being used as a room spray lol), Vanilla Spin, Moroccan (fave), Candy Cane, Baby Fresh, Strawberry Bomb, Pina Colada and Coconut Ice. They all smell absolutely divine and I'm excited to hear your feedback!

As always, please let me know if you'd prefer a fragrance free groom. These scents are lovely and subtle, which is a must for sensitive little me 😅

This is Molly. She came to us for her first groom recently, and she was an absolute superstar.

Molly had a very sad start to life, being used as a breeding dog, left in a cage when she wasn't making money for her previous owner. Her beautiful mum rescued her and has been working very hard with her to help her realise life as a pet dog is wonderful and full of love! I'm in awe of all the work she has put in, and how much she clearly loves Molly. It hits hard, as one of our dogs had a very similar start to life - you may have met Kenny, our little cavoodle. He's such a sweet, loving boy despite everything he's been through, and he loves meeting our dog social clients!

Every week we have special dogs come to the salon that have had sad stories, or bad experiences. It means so much to me that you trust me with your babies.

We are currently booked out until the 3rd of September and our first available Sunday is not until the 20th. Please note we will be closed for part of October, and our availability in general is starting to slim down, so get your bookings in while you can! You can message me or use the booking system on the website.

Some of my recent beautiful babies, Sophie the Mini Schnauzer (love!!), Isabelle my little puppy Spoodle bestie and her gorgeous brother Buddy the Maltese x Poodle, Maggie the Cavoodle (who was SUCH a brave girl for her second time with me), and madam Coco the Shih Tzu puppy (I think I'm in love, it's hard to take a photo of a bub that just wants to keep moving with you and climb up your leg tho 😅💜)

I have had the absolute pleasure lately of welcoming quite a few behavioural groom doggies- the kids that fall through the cracks at busy salons and can't handle the fast pace, or just need some more one-on-one time.

Today i had my OG spicy boy, Elmo, who I of course forgot to take a photo of (lol), for his third groom with me. The first groom was pretty full on, he was anxious and growly and stiff, and we managed to get him done enough to go home. This time we basically got him done without a muzzle (except for the feet, which is so normal). I'm so proud of my sore old man 🥰 (and his beautiful sister Noodle).

Seeing these dogs, who are so full of fear and mistrust, bloom in the salon makes my heart so very full.

I appreciate every single one of you who has trusted me with your special pups. It means the world. Thank you for supporting The Kind Canine 💜

Hey everyone! We have changed our treats, as anyone who feeds Ziwi knows, they are getting a bit too cost prohibitive 😅

Prime 100 is a single protein diet, so it's perfect for allergy dogs or sensitive tummies. Our kids have taste tested all four varieties and rate them 10/10, and I've used the air dried as training treats for years now, with great success.

Please remember to tell me if your dog has any allergies. The wild boar and venison are allergy friendly, and the chicken has been in rotation here for a few months. Everyone loves it! 🥰

Hey everyone! If you've been to the salon you've probably heard my little guy yelling. This is the ironically named Whisper, aka Wish. Wish is my 2 year old rescue Pomeranian with high anxiety and reactivity.

We are currently working with Dog and Cat Training - Behavioural Specialist to get him confident and more comfortable with things he finds stressful like visitors, noise, me being in a separate room etc. Please be patient if it takes me a moment to get to the gate and let you in while we settle him and reward for calm behaviour!

Eventually I would love him to meet some of your babies, the more relaxed the better. Let me know if that's something you would be interested in!

It breaks my heart that he is always so stressed, he's so cute and sweet when he's happy, and I want him to be happy all the time! I'm sure some of you can relate 😅 He's a very clever dog, so I have high hopes we can get him to the point where he can do normal dog stuff like go for a walk!

Some of our recent babies 💜💜💜 we've had so many purebreds lately! It's so exciting seeing a rarer breed in the salon, along with all our little oodles and random bitsie dogs. Feat. Dusty after his first puppy intro 😍

As this month draws to a close, I want to thank everyone who became a client or revisited. We had 38!!!! appointments this month, which is a huge deal for month 3 with no advertising! It's all thanks to everyone who left a review, told a friend or mentioned us on socials. My little business is thriving and I couldn't be more thrilled!

We are currently booked out until the 12th of July and already have 27 bookings for next month and people are now booking in to August. You can message me or book online via the website to secure your spot.
