Sonstrid Border Collies. We are a small ANKC kennel located south of Brisbane. Our dogs are family. If we aren’t competing we are out swimming or hiking or spending time with the doggos.

You can find us most days out enjoying dog sports we actively compete in such as Flyball, Agility, Rally-o, Canine Disc, and Tricks. We look forwards to hopefully adding Conformation to the list with our foundation litter being of excellent quality. Any planned litters are very carefully thought out and raised

with the utmost care. We are very careful about the temperament and the structure we add into our lines. We use puppy culture as a base line for our puppies and from there the sky’s the limit. We pride ourselves on giving puppies the absolute best upbringing we can.

Sup folks 👋

Im Floss. Flossy Biscuits. Little miss sugar on top. I am my mother’s carbon copy in this litter. If there was one of us who has swung completely towards our mother it’s me. I can come across a bit snobby when I first meet people but once the situation isn’t so scrambled I’m in like Flynn. Though sometimes I’ll join the fray too because why not. I spend a lot of my day watching the rest of the tribe and sitting at the top of the ramp. When something catches my eye I’ll zoom in to be part of it. I love a good dig in my sandpit. Enjoy a nice tugging session. Love a good cuddle and pat.

Volhard is fast approaching and I’m really hoping I’m one of the lucky ones with a safe place to land 💚

Hey hey hey 👋

My name is Dorothy. Dorit as I’m called. I keep telling the lady that isn’t very cute. But she can’t bring her brain to call me anything cuter. I’m probably a bit of a princess of the tribe. I’m an incredibly people orientated dog. I really really enjoy company. I am the number 1 dog for hanging out inside with the humans. When I play I can get very excited but mostly just end up rolling around on my back like a little piggy. I’m not a wildly zoomy dog. I’m mostly like my sister encore but a bit more clingy.

At this stage you probably know the drill. In 2 weeks I’m doing a test called volhard and at that point my sisters and I will be looking for the best couches, tv’s and aircons 🩷

A sweet hello from me 👋

Hi my name is Clementine. Lemmy or lemonade as called these days. I’ll just pop by quickly to introduce myself. I’m a quieter lady. Still love a tug and a play but mostly I enjoy a cuddle, a cold place to sleep and a soft toy to have around. I’m a simple creature who wouldn’t mind a friend to shadow and live life with.

In another fortnight I get to do my volhard and then I too am hoping I find my forever home 💛

Just stopping by to say Hi 👋

My name is Huzzah. But currently I go mostly by Huzzy Ha Ha. I’m a bit of a clown amongst my siblings. Cheeky but thoughtful. I’m very good at matching the mood and self entertaining. I don’t mind finding a toy and playing quietly on my own. Or wresting with my siblings. Or snuggling up to a human if they’re available. I am one of the puppies who will often check if there’s a human on the inside part of the pen amongst playing outside. I’m a fairly middle ground dog for energy. Not too crazy like some of my siblings.

I too will undergo Volhard in a couple of weeks and I’m hopeful my forever couch will be around when that time comes 🧡

Hi There 👋

My name is Encore. For now anyway. Aptly named because I came out straight after my sister Dorothy and at birth we were identical. Hence my current papered name of Sonstrid Once More for Joy.

I’m not a wild child of a dog. I love cuddles. And I froth one on one time. I play well with all my siblings. And I still love to engage in a cheeky game of tug or play. I’m a nice little dog to spend time with.

I was one of the first to play on the swing outside. And I’m doing great with my toilet training. Im not a wild foodie but that could change depending on the day. Mostly I’m just looking for love and kindness.

At 7 weeks I will do Volhard and I’m hoping at that stage my forever home is waiting for me ❤️

She is a beauty and she’s grace. Quite literally. This little girl comes from the gorgeous Huxley and our beautiful grace. And amongst her and her sisters are puppies hoping to meet really nice couches in early December.

This lovely tribe are now 4 weeks old. Time has absolutely flown by.

We’ve started unstable surfaces. Have completed our first rounds of startle recovery. Are very much so people orientated little beings. Love their classical music. Eat like absolute champions.

This week brings a bigger pen upgrade. More brain games and challenges. And more food and growth. Time is flying by

I still have a couple of these gorgeous black and white girls searching for their forever couches. One is a more laid back quieter dog and one is a bit more of your typical energetic border collie. Which ones I won’t know till 7 weeks. But I’ve got a split of personalities and energies here. So if you’ve been considering I’d absolutely love to talk to you 🙂

We have had a few homes pull out of our 2025 litter plans. So at this stage I’m putting it out there again.

These pups would be ready to go home early December and will have a mix of temperaments, drive & arousal.

Whilst I will make up a formal litter announcement for the gorgeous pair. I can say that mum to be is our beautiful Grace from our Wednesday (Milangimbi Touch of the Devil FDX JD GD RE SPD SD TKS CDB GDB) and Drift (Ch Allclarity All or Nothing AD GD JD SD SPDX TKI).
