We are back and now operating from our new office adjacent to the Kennel area gate. Limited parking is available in front of the office for dropping off and picking up your pets. There is also plenty of on the street parking and easy turn around for caravans and large vehicles. 🐾🐾

Who remembers when The Big Mango was stolen?
This week marks 12 years since news of our 10-metre iconic tourist attraction going missing made international headlines.
It was on February 24, 2014 – and it was mentioned in more than 3,000 media reports reaching over 25 million people worldwide.
It was then revealed the restaurant chain Nando’s was responsible for the stunt as a promotion. Bowen Tourism and Business had worked with an advertising agency to organise the removal and hiding of the mango during the night. The stunt moved to Melbourne where Nando’s released a 6-metre replica in Federation Square with the launch of their Mango and Lime Product. That ‘Little Mango’ is now at Bowen’s Front Beach.

We are excited that our new office building has now arrived on site and looking forward to it being ready and operational when we re-open on the 16th March.

Good morning.

The Bruce highway is cut just south of Proserpine and at Letheebrook. Forget even attempting going south of Proserpine. The airport is likley to be closed as there's no way to the airport due to flooding. The picture below is gorganga Creek, just south of Proserpine. I'm assume palm Creek is over at Conway. Heath

Cyclone Koji - This morning we emptied 220mls from the rain gauge. All the pets boarding with us this weekend are doing well, safe and dry. A lull in the weather allowed for the morning routine to be carried out as usual.

Obviously it is rather wet underfoot and some minor damage around the property has been identified (not to kennels or cattery). The creek down the back is flooding which is a bit exciting but doesn't impact the Pet Motel.

We will remain closed today and hopefully will be back to business as usual in the morning.
