10yo, 14hh, Bay Dun, Fjord Horse stallion.

Optimist Halsnæs x Ditte Frølunde (Laust Halsnæs) - Imported in utero, passported Danish Fjord Horse, registered Australian Fjord Horse Association.

Lloyd has been started and trained by myself - currently competing medium dressage, with established piaffe, and developing pirouettes and passage. He also has extensive three phase equitation/working equitation training and competition experience.
He has been very successful in dressage and three phase equitation, and dabbled in showing, jumping and endurance.
With many road, bush and beach miles under belt, both alone and in company.

Lloyd happily gives out lead rein pony rides, and has given young or amateur riders their first feels, like the collected canter or lateral shapes. He’s been the lead and support horse for many young horses. Lloyd has been ridden bridless, including schooling at home on the arena and on outings at the beach and obstacles, and he’ll happily toodle about in a halter and ba****ck.

As a sire he has produced phenomenal off spring and is an easy breeder. Sire to 15 Fjords and grandsire to 8, with more on the way.
His relatives in Denmark, and exported, are consistently assessing exceptionally and proving to be fantastic breeding and performance horses.

He has paddock served as a young horse and when out of work, and I hand serve with him when he is in work. He paddocks alone or with a mini pony gelding out of breeding season, and he is paddocked on fence lines with other horses, and travels with other horses.

He is for sale so that I can move on to training and producing his wonderful off spring that I have.

Lloyd’s versatility and rider suitability is incredibly broad, he has such a wonderful temperament; a most willing partner.

There’s also many photos and videos of his offspring.

I will be looking for an equally brilliant home and partner for him to continue on with.

Another comp outing for Nera and I.
The day was a big one - getting caught and loading in the dark, warming up next to a paddock of kangaroos, and competing in an arena right beside the entry with lots of cars, floats and trucks coming right past.
Going solo with no buddy near the warm up or comp arena, and not missing a beat warming up with the other horses and navigating the arena entry, bunting, noise of the scoria on the bunting, car at the end of the arena - just generally understanding the comp day environment comfortably!
Ontop of that it was bloody windy and cold, and got wet later in the day, and she was a super star to ride, yard and travel in the crazy weather!
So far, a great winter of staying accountable to the training, inclusive of some positive successful outings!

The two weanlings, almost yearlings, are having a little bootcamp.
Learning to be stabled and yarded, some independence from the older horses they are out with, so that in the future when I want/need to bring them in for little solo sessions, it’s not a big deal.
We are also checking in on the tying, grooming, hoof handling and basic leading and yielding exercises - they are both doing super!

Completely unfazed comp prepping in Armageddon style winds and rain yesterday, loading up and travelling in the dark this morning, and competing in some pretty wild weather today! What a trooper 🤩
