Rehoming a dog is often met with judgment—and sometimes, that judgment is deserved. There are people who buy dogs on impulse, neglect them, and give them up without ever truly trying. But that is not Amanda and Sinny’s story.

The truth is, owning a dog is hard. Owning a working breed is extremely hard. These dogs need more than love—they need constant enrichment, rigorous exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and consistency. For eight years, Amanda gave everything she could. Building a career, making time for loved ones, and trying to live the life of a young adult—all while meeting the immense needs of a dog who required hours and hours of attention (exercise) every day.

The easy, selfish choice would have been to let him sit in the backyard, waiting endlessly between shifts. But Amanda chose differently. She chose the harder, selfless path: to find him a home where his needs would not only be met, but celebrated. And she did.

The heartbreak of saying goodbye is hers alone to carry. But in choosing his happiness over her own, Amanda gave Sinny the greatest gift: the life he truly deserves.

Eastside Dogs is going to miss him but I can’t wait to see his new chapter unfold. ❤️💔❤️💔❤️

In honour of Pogo, here are some of my favourite group and portrait shots. When it was time to take a group shot he would position himself right away front and centre. I never had to move him around (maybe back a little so the small dogs could have a chance) and he never broke the stay command. A very smart and distinguished gentleman❤️❤️❤️
