Today I had the pleasure of meeting Bindi, a 6-month-old Kelpie, for a basic manners training session! 🐾✨

​Bindi was a little nervous at first, but it didn’t take long for her confidence to bloom. She quickly realized that staying close to her handler and offering great engagement was the key to earning her rewards! 💡 Reward-based teamwork at its finest!

​During our session, we focused on:

✅ Reliable Recall

✅ Engagement & Focus

✅ The Drop Exercise

​What a delight to work with such a calm, smart, and motivated girl. Keep up the brilliant work, team! 🐶👏

🐾 Hats off to our October Puppy Pre-School Graduates! 🎓✨

​A huge congratulations to Yeti, Tucker, Douglas, Opal, and Benny for officially completing their Puppy Pre-School journey! 🐶👏

​This class was an absolute joy to work with. Every single week, these pups stayed cool, calm, and amazingly focused on their guardians.

​Moments like this are a huge reminder of why I love being a dog trainer. Behind every great pup is a dedicated human, and this group put in so much hard work behind the scenes. Their progress and
training results were nothing short of impressive!

🎓SEPTEMBER PUPPY GRADUATES

We’d like to give a huge congratulations to our latest graduates: Frankie, Gizmo, Loki, Pablo, and Daisy!

​Every pup in this class made fantastic strides:

• Frankie learned to relax and settle beautifully in a busy environment.
• Pablo found his inner confidence and became much bolder in his interactions.
• Loki harnessed his big energy and did a wonderful job improving his settle.
• Gizmo & Daisy showed great impulse control, easily transitioning between focused training and calm downtime.

​A huge thank you and job well done to all the puppies and their dedicated owners.

In August, I had the privilege of attending Kamal Fernandez’s "Locked In" day seminar! 🐶🔥

​It was so inspiring to watch Kamal work with different clients and their sports dogs.

My biggest takeaways centered on building deep engagement through reinforcement mechanics:

​✨ Varying Food Delivery: Moving away from just handing food directly to the mouth. Instead, mixing it up by tossing food, catching, using cupped hands, luring, driving to the hand, and quick delivery to keep the dog locked in.

✨ Dynamic Toy Play: Changing up the types of toys, how they are delivered, and where they appear—beside, behind, opposite side, or even out of the armpit!

✨ Clear Communication: Utilizing clear ON and OFF cues.

​Left feeling motivated and ready to level up our training sessions! 💡🐾

🐾 NEW RECRUITS IN THE HOUSE! 🐶

✨​A big welcome to Fern, Nessie, and Crumpet, who had a fantastic first class at Puppy Pre-School! 🎉

​We missed getting first class photos with sweet Louie and Opal this time, but they all did such an amazing job.

We can't wait to watch all of these puppies learn and grow over the coming weeks! ❤️🐾

​We missed sweet Nala during the celebrations, but we are so proud of everyone! All of our puppies and their guardians did an absolute star job. 🐶❤️

Better late than never! A massive congratulations to our August Puppy Pre-School Graduates! 🎓🐶

​We had such a wonderful mix of personalities and sizes this round—from sweet Bonnie, the gentle giant Mastiff, all the way to tiny Ladybug, the Chihuahua mix!
