The Plot has always been about filling a perceived niche & encouraging the growth of parochial interest in local produce. It made its first debut in 2006, with the opening of an edible plants and wholefoods business in Canberra and has evolved with us ever since. Over recent years there has been a rapid growth in this style of business activity in our local area and the niche has become mainstream

. It has also allowed us a guilt free transition prioritising our efforts developing a sustainable urban flower farm.

My Thursday evening job on the foliage floor just done & dusted!
Leaving a 4.30 am start in the morn to pick the last of the dahlia train, prepped and ready for the most wonderful women coming in to start bunching @ 7.30am.

The Easter weekend marks the end of our summer growing season and the last of our bargain bunches of locally grown, seasonal cut flowers.

💪 Friday - delivery into Narooma mid morning and Flossie the flower cart outside 147 Princes Hwy Bodalla.

💪 Saturday deliveries to & Tyrrells Store Bodalla

🚨 Announcing: The Plot Bodalla is closing...

April fools, folks! 😉 But seriously, this will be the last week our cut flowers will be available for the season with our little Flossie the flower cart, trading her Wednesday today for this coming Friday’s *Final Flourish*! Instead 🌸✨

The last of our fresh flower bunches will be delivered into in Narooma and & Tyrrells Store in Bodalla on Friday, so be sure to snap them up before they’re gone!

It’s been quite a journey this year navigating potholes, speed humps, and Mother Nature doing her best despite everything we throw at her. We thank you all so much for being part of the ride and can’t wait for what’s to come.
Next season, we’re expanding our Narooma/Bodalla/Tuross coverage to include Moruya and Mogo. Exciting times ahead!

For now though, the real work begins as we start putting everything to bed for the summer growing season. Wishing you all happy winter vibes! ❄️💐 X

I don’t reckon you’ve truly lived until you’ve harvested in the dark.
As the days get shorter, I’ve found myself out there more often - working by feel, instinct, and just enough light to guide the way. It strips everything back. No fluff, no distractions, just a raw, unfiltered connection to what you’re doing.
It’s a completely different world to the one we move through every day. Out there, everything feels magnified. The quiet is almost eerie, but alive in its own way. Every step matters. Every movement demands focus as you navigate through unseen obstacles.
There’s something deeply symbiotic about it—just you and the flowers, in a moment that feels both grounding and intense all at once.

The end of the season is always a hard one. Growth slows, stamina fades, stems grow weak, and I’m reminded of the power of nature and its cycles.
This week will be our last round of deliveries into Tuross until the season kicks off again later in the year. No doubt we’ll be calling it soon for other locations. Happy Wednesday x
