Due to unforeseen circumstances Mac has to sit out for the next few months, we are looking for someone new to join our team in-between however Long and short term positions will be considered. START ASAP
This is the position Jason Leitch offered me 6 years ago which completely changed my life moulding me into the trainer I am today, an opportunity I can now pass on. I really enjoy teaching so if you are willing to learn and work we will get on well.
The ideal individual would be,
- A Confident rider, this is a ridden position, not a stable hand position.
- Be confident around young horses, you will be breaking in straight away assisting myself and doing your own when capable, you’ll then progress with them 2yos working them on cows so forth. Learning the fundamentals of a strong fountain for the performance horse industry.
- must have ABN and insurance
- Own car license
- Own your own saddle, if you don’t I will buy you one and you can work it off.
- Be keen to travel from Tamworth to Cloncurry riding ponies, ( Our calander is pretty full)
We also look after a property on top of all our horses so our days are often broken up with everyday property jobs. Doing everything from mustering to running waters (we start weaning next week). So plenty of cows to work!
