We are so proud to be working with Hastings Landcare Inc and Local Land Services NSW to restore local flora and fauna habitat throughout The Hatch Farm across a long term project. Unfortunately there was extensive clearing prior to our purchase of the land on the acreage closest to the Maria River. So far we have been collecting seeds off the farm (in the uncleared bush areas) for the Landcare nursery to grow, fencing off corridors to limit access from our farm animals and, and started mass planting of local trees using the seedlings from our first seed collections (and some other local species which we have not been able to collect seed from). We have been learning a lot about the lands history, bush regeneration, and about our native flora and fawna. We can’t wait to share our progress and to post about what we have found!
