🐾 WHY DO I USE THESE CLIPPERS ON PAW PADS? 🐾

The skin around and between a dog's paw pads can be delicate, so the tools I choose for this area matter.

These little clippers are one of my favourites specifically for paw-pad work. ✂️🐶

They use a ceramic cutting blade, which generally transfers less heat than an all-metal cutting blade and can help the blade remain cooler during use.

Another feature I like is the design of the clipper itself. There's very little exposed metal underneath near the blade assembly, with much of the surrounding housing being plastic. That means less warm metal potentially coming into contact with sensitive areas while I'm working around the pads.

They're also small and easy to manoeuvre, which gives me better control when working in those tight spaces between the toes and pads.

Does that mean they can never get warm? No. Any clipper blade can heat up with continued use, so I still regularly check blade temperature while grooming.

It's a small detail, but it's another example of why choosing the right tool for the job matters. 💗
