Just a warning for everyone who owns cats/kittens and the importance of keeping your cats indoors and up to date with vaccinations. This is also one of the reasons why we don't allow anyone to come and see our kittens until vaccinated π

Panleukopenia is a highly contagious disease with a very low survival rate in unvaccinated cats and kittens. It is the cat strain of the deadly parvovirus seen in dogs.
It was all but eradicated in Australia up until about ten years ago before low vaccination rates led to an increase in cases. It started in Victoria, made its way up to Sydney and in the last 18 months has been making its way down the South Coast.
We have now had confirmed cases in Bomaderry, Nowra, Tomerong and recently as far south as Conjola Park.
We strongly urge all cat owners to make sure their cats are up to date with their annual F3 vaccination. Prevention is your cats best chance of surviving this deadly disease.
