Whoever said Thoroughbreds can not be as good as a Stockhorse didn't know a good well educated TB.

Little bit of something different for Charlie the TB mare today.

She slotted in and drafted the cattle really well, as if she had done it in a past life.

This shows us that quality Foundation training works across all disciplines assists a horse to understand all we ask no matter the situation we put them in with Clarity.

Charlie has never mustered or moved cattle before and her foundation allowed her to have all the aids to do the job successfully with Ed and with ease.

She loved every minute of her session on the cattle this morning and Ed killing two birds with one stone so to speak and weaning the cattle at the same time.

Her owner would be proud of how she breezed confidently into the Mob, cutting cattle out as asked, moved cattle swiftly with ease and followed all Eds aids smoothly, with connection and clarity.

- LIGHT LUNCH / Smoko Coffee & Tea

AM - 45min Shared 2-3 Max riders Flatwork working on clarity in your aids and Refining your connection with Fun flatwork Exercises.

PM - 1hr Group Poles up to 4 riders / session we will work on taking what we've achieved in the AM session into a pole Exercise Curcuit that helps you leave feeling more Supple, Harmonised and refined.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT -
These days are designed to bring Adult riders together Socially, Be Fun, Informative and Enjoyable for all levels of rider doing all sorts of Disciplines.

Western or English the exercises we do work across the Disciplines and the Foundation training taught connects through all.

HOW YOU CAN BOOK - Limited spots available each month - these are run on Saturdays and Sundays depending on where interest is shown.

Pm and I'll add you to the group chat so you can join in whenever your available too.

OUR COACH - Joanne Campbell is Welcoming, Accommodating to all levels from Beginners to Advance riders and is Passionate with a Love to share her knowledge on Holistic Foundation Training with others.

She comes from a Strong Classical Dressage
Background and Holistic approach Joanne has developed and learned over her years with horses is affective in creating a Calm, Settled and Happy horse and Rider.

Over the 25 plus yrs she has been training as a Horse Trainer and Rider Educator she has developed systematic and Clear concepts that works for horse and Rider to develop the 3 C's - Clarity, Connection and Confidence.

Specialises in Lateral movements & Foundation Education for Multiple Disciplines.

Out and about for this beauty this week - this Filly has come a long way this last week being much more confident and looking without reaction.

She is learning to acknowledge her surroundings and self regulate allowing Ed to explore around property & down the road on her alot more and her feel calmer to take in the world, as she moves through it without a need to be reactive, Spooky and unsure.

Confidence is a real thing and a lack of it shows up as bucking, rearing, running backwards, spooking in attempt to move away from what their unsure of or even a complete shutdown and inability to move forward.

You'll notice we have a hood on her with ear covers.

It was noted early in her training that she was very very noise sensitive - simple noises like a Russell of a tree or a crack of a tree branch would set her off to over react and take off bucking.

The hood helps with passive pressure over the TMJ & muffling noises so they arnt as clear until she gets more confident then the hood will be weaned off once she has been exposed to all things she wasn't confident with and we note positive change.

She will then be exposed without it also to makesure that the confidence and self regulation she has learnt in training has been achieved with and without it.

Lovely perceptive, kind filly she is and alot of her reactions are due to trauma from paddock accidents, as a young horse causing her to loose her confidence.

Watch this space as she is improving every ride and Ed is very happy with her progress. 😊

Holistic training is looking at all contributing aspects of training - Physically, Environmentally, socially and working with the horse in what is unfolding in the training to help them to come to a clear understanding, create clarity, create Positive change and create Confidence in all aspects of the horses life.

Your Coach Edward has Represented WA at National level Ranchsorting, is regularly in the Winning seat at Ranchsorts in WA and is in the top 10 highest rated riders for WA for Ranchsorting. He is a horse trainer by trade and enjoys sharing his training knowledge with others.

Things you'll do -
* Introduce the horse to cattle in a confident relax way.
* Dry work
* Ranch Sorting skills
* Mustering skills ( Group activity )
* Drafting cattle out of a mob
* Team and Individual exercises aimed to develop Cattle discipline skills, team communication and refine your livestock moving skills on Horseback back.
