Unexpected guest today..

Found this beautiful fellow in need of veterinary care.

I do love these little beings, the masters of disguise and can hold perfect stillness for a long time. The Tawny Frog Mouth is a member of the Nightjar family and is not an owl.

They are the worst nest makers I have ever seen, they aren’t creative at all in that area of their life, or are they? Perhaps they have a the attitude of a couple of sticks, whack them together - creation done ✅ They are very slow to take off in flight, which can make them a risk on the road.

Spiritually they are renown for the message of synchronicity and everything you have been planning coming into Formance. Yes 👏 to that.

Stay well little buddy, hope the vets do right by you.

So let me ask you this…
Why does it sometimes feel like you’re dancing one step forward, two steps back?

Why the restarts?
The stops and starts.
The almosts.

I’m not good enough

I’m not ready

I’m not worthy

And suddenly…
The horse goes lame.
You get sick.
Money becomes “tight”.
The float gets a flat tyre.
It’s the wrong day.
It’s not what you really want.

and you pull out of the event.

Sound familiar?

Here’s the uncomfortable truth (said with love):

It all feels very real, but it’s an unconscious pattern and YOU are creating it.

Rather than leaning into the tension of "this is the edge that grows me", the nervous system feels stress and pulls out. The mind creates a thousand reasonable explanations. And the dream stays safely out of reach.

I’ll say it gently and clearly:

This isn’t bad luck. It’s self-sabotage. It is you not wanting the world to see that you are not good enough.

The question isn’t why does this always happen to me?
The question is:

Is this a pattern I’m ready to interrupt and take ownership of?

Because the moment you stop trying to fix the past…
And start riding from the end result you desire…
Everything shifts.

This is the work of Rider’s Edge.
Not more effort.
More awareness.
More choice and
Being in the flow of what it is you desire to create.

Your horse already feels who you’re becoming.
The only question is — are you willing to ride there too?

"I just want a deep connection with my horse!"

When working with clients, I hear this many times. They want "that" that deep connection, that partnership, and in some cases "I just want my horse to love me"

Many a time we are asking our horses to meet us in a place we have not yet dared to meet ourselves.

We ask them for presence, softness and even trust whilst hiding behind our old stories and limiting beliefs that say

"I'm not good enough"
"I dont feel worthy"
"I'm insignificant"

Horses feel energetically where we are at and when we dont show up fully present in the moment, being all of me, rather than holding back some of me because "I dont want anyone to know who I believe I am" there is a disconnect in the relationship.

It is all about the identity we have created for ourselves from our limiting beliefs learned as a child that has kept us safe.

It doesn't matter what you think about yourself to create a new identity of how you wish that relationship to be, a relationship that you love, a partnership that you love.

Stop for a moment and just ask yourself "If my past doesnt exist, what would the version of me, who is in that divine relationship that I love do in this moment?" Listen to your intuition and be guided by that version of self.
