Apparently I have a death wish or something because I decided what better idea than to saddle up Annie after not being ridden for 2 years due to her mum duties, her spring hormones raging and see what happens 😂
Credit to her impeccable temperament she didn’t put a foot wrong and powered ahead like she hadn’t missed a day of work. A huge reason why I love this breed as much as my Friesians and especially this mare. She has such a zest for life and is always up for whatever you throw at her.

Varlia and Zuske got a little pamper session this morning by the lovely Adele from Equine Revive. Some acupuncture and healing to get them primed for the upcoming breeding season. Varlia did great for her first ever session with being poked with needles. And Zuske just takes everything in her stride as usual.

Caspian out for his second walk exploring on his own and gaining confidence. Nothing seems to faze the little guy.

Definitely going to have to get help to take nice photos of Caspian 🤦‍♀️ He’s either asleep, or thinking about going to sleep, or just woken up from a sleep! I guess I can’t complain too much about his relaxed temperament.
He’s certainly going through his winter teddy bear phase now.

Things are slowly pottering along here. My young friesians Arwen and Varlia are getting ready for a show next month so re learning to trot in hand and getting mouthed. This is Arwens first show and Varlia’s second. They’re not too fond of the beauty regimes. Arwen had her tail de-dreadlocked today and I discovered she has a very big voluminous tail now under all that mud and grime.
And Caspian started the weaning process today. He’s taking it like a champ and his dam Annie is loving having some ‘me time’.
