It's cuddle time with Nurse Anna 💟

After her dental procedure with us, this sweet pup Sherrie, was feeling extra loved.

Regular dental care is an important part of keeping those tails wagging and teefs sparkling.

A big cuddle for being such a brave patient.

TICK PARALYSIS SEASON IS HERE

As the weather starts to warm up, we’re beginning to see a rise in tick paralysis cases — and now is the time to make sure your pets are protected. Including your indoor only pets.

Tick paralysis can be life-threatening and can progress quickly, affecting your pet’s ability to walk and, in severe cases, breathe.

Signs to watch for include:

Wobbliness or weakness, especially in the back legs
Difficulty standing or walking
A change in their bark or meow
Gagging, coughing or difficulty swallowing
Excessive drooling
Vomiting or retching
Rapid or difficult breathing
Collapse

Regular tick checks are essential, even if your pet is on prevention. Check around the ears, face, neck, under the collar, between the toes and anywhere else a tick may hide.

If you find a tick or notice any signs of tick paralysis, contact your veterinarian immediately. Early treatment can make a significant difference.

Prevention is key! Make sure your pet’s tick prevention is up to date before the warmer weather really kicks in.

Not sure if your pet’s tick prevention is suitable for them? Give our veterinary team a call — we’re happy to help keep your furry family members safe this tick season.

Stay alert, stay tick-safe, and keep those tails wagging!

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day - August 28th

Today, we remember the beloved animals who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and left paw prints forever on our hearts.

Whether they were with us for many years or for far too short a time, their love, companionship, and memories remain a part of us.

Today, we honour every wagging tail, gentle purr, playful moment, and comforting presence that made our lives brighter.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Remembering and loving them always. 🌈🐾
