Eastern Thick-tailed Gecko (Underwoodisaurus husbandi). Most people are familiar with the Western Thick-tailed Geckos (Underwoodisaurus milii), which look noticeably different to the Eastern Thick-tails. However, by current taxonomy, ‘husbandi’ aren’t a recognised species and are still described as milii.

The colours on these hypomelanistic Eastern Thick-tailed Geckos (Underwoodisaurus husbandi) are absolutely mind blowing. Their enclosures are the first I look into each night when I’m doing the rounds, and I’m always amazed by the pinks, yellows, oranges, whites and of course the blue colour of their supraocular area.
