Take the Lead Canine Training was first established as a registered Dog Training Business in Adelaide, South Australia, in 2004. In 2011, after relocating to Queensland, Take the Lead Canine Training continued to service the local and surrounding Glasshouse Mountains region of SE Qld. Trainer and Operator, Tanya is employed full-time as a Senior Service Dog Trainer for a Sunshine Coast organisation after exiting an extensive 30-plus years in the veterinary industry as a Certified Senior Critical Care, Surgical Assistant and Anaesthetic Nurse in some outstanding Veterinary and Specialist hospitals including Australia Zoo. The completion of Deltas', Cert 4 Companion Animal Services course was Tanyas' first nationally accredited course in 2004. From then onwards, Tanya has gained certification in multiple other Dog training and behaviour disciplines. Tanya continues to broaden her knowledge through professional development both nationally and internationally ensuring she is keeping up to date with the ever-changing training profession to guide her clientele to obtain maximum training results.

📢Puppy School Enrollment Now Open
🐾Classes available for puppies starting from eight weeks of age, after their first vaccination.
These are held indoors in a venue in Glasshouse Mountains.
We ensure to provide a safe, clean, and controlled indoor environment year-round for your convenience.
🐾We focus on building confidence, good habits, general manners, and a strong bond between owner and puppy during the critical early stages of development.
🐾Topics addressed:
•Attention to handler
•Settle to a Place
•Jumping up
•Toilet training
•Chewing
•Introduced leash walking skills and so much more.
✨️We emphasise on real-life skill management through positive reinforcement based training.
• Class format gives the opportunity to connect with other puppy owners, share experiences, and ask questions
