It was Vet Nurse Day, but for our amazing nurses, it was still another busy day of caring for our precious patients. 🐾

Somewhere in the middle of it all, we found a little moment to sit together, enjoy lunch, share a few smiles and celebrate the wonderful people who make our clinic what it is.

To our extraordinary nurses,

We have so much respect for your knowledge and skills, so much appreciation for the kindness and care you give, and so much admiration for the passion you bring to your work.

You are truly special, and we hope you know just how much you mean to us.

Happy Vet Nurse Day to our beautiful Village Vet nurses! 🩷

We missed our lovely Brooke, who had the day off, but she was definitely celebrating with us in spirit! ❤️

💕 Hero Number Five: Our Gorgeous Liv! 💕

If you’ve met Liv, you’ll know exactly why we love her so much! And judging by all the lovely feedback we’ve received from our Beeliar community, we’re certainly not the only ones! 🥰

Liv has a way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether you’re visiting with a nervous puppy, a cheeky kitten or just have a hundred questions about your pet, she’ll greet you with that gorgeous smile and give you all the time and care you need.

She’s a wonderful nurse with plenty of experience, but it’s her kindness and genuine love for animals that really shine through.

And let’s talk about CATS! 🐱

Oh my goodness, this girl LOVES cats! The moment she sees one, her whole face lights up. It’s honestly the sweetest thing to watch! 😂🩷

Originally from Melbourne, Liv has been in Perth for less than a year and is studying veterinary medicine. We already know she’s going to make an amazing vet!

Moving away from family and starting a new chapter takes courage, and we hope our little Village family can make Perth feel a bit more like home for her.

So if you pop in on Friday or Saturday, make sure you give Liv a lovely smile and say hello!

Liv, you beautiful soul! 🩷

Thank you for giving so much of your heart, energy and talent to our little clinic. We notice everything you do, and we’re grateful for every bit of it.

We absolutely adore you! 🐾💕

🌸 Say Hello to Our 4th Hero, Kelsey! 🌸

Next up in our Village Vet hero series is our lovely Kelsey! 💕

Although she wasn’t here from day one, it certainly feels like she was!

Kelsey just gets our clinic. She fits in beautifully with the team, knows how to keep things running smoothly and brings so much warmth to everyone around her.

And if you’ve ever met her, you’ll know exactly what we mean when we say her kindness is unforgettable. ❤️

One of my favourite memories is of an elderly couple who dropped in with lots of questions about the new puppy they were planning to welcome home.

Kelsey sat and chatted with them, taking her time to explain everything and answer all their questions.

It was such a sweet moment. They were laughing and chatting away like grandparents catching up with their granddaughter! 🥹

They left looking so happy, and the rest of us couldn’t help smiling too.

Of course, our furry patients receive just as much love!

Whether it’s a nervous pup or a frightened little kitty, Kelsey is always there with her gentle voice, comforting cuddles and endless patience.

She’s also our little nutrition enthusiast! 🥣🐾 She’s been busy preparing a session to share her knowledge with the village vet families and we can’t wait!

Kelsey, we’re so grateful you’re part of our Village Vet family!

Now, we just need more photos of you doing all these wonderful things.

Consider yourself officially warned. The Village Vet paparazzi are coming for you! 📸😂

We love your passion, your skills and everything you bring to our team! 🩷

STOP EVERYTHING!!! 🚨😍

Have you met Tinker?!

Those eyes! 👀
Those whiskers!
And THOSE LITTLE WHITE SOCKS!!! 🐾😭❤️

Seriously, how can one little kitty be this adorable?!

Our gorgeous Tinker has been visiting us since the early days of The Village Vet, and we absolutely adore her and her wonderful family.

She used to be a bit of a scaredy cat, but not anymore! Well, she’s certainly getting braver! 💪🐱

She recently visited us for a dental clean and did such a wonderful job.

Three cheers for our brave little fairy, Tinker! 🧚‍♀️👏👏👏

We’re so proud of you, gorgeous girl! 💕

🌟 MEET OUR HEROES — NANA 🌟

The third hero we’d love you to meet is our lovely Nurse Nana. ❤️

If your furry family member has ever stayed with us for surgery or a procedure, there’s a very good chance they’ve received a whole lot of love from Nana.

Nana may be one of the quieter members of our team, but she has the warmest, gentlest way of caring for every little patient who comes through our doors.

She makes her rounds checking on each patient as they recover, making sure they’re comfortable and giving them a little extra attention along the way. There might be a cuddle, a little play, a kiss or two if they allow it, and of course, some very serious conversations between Nana and her patients. 🤭❤️

Nana is quiet and gentle, but incredibly thoughtful and observant. She notices the little things.

And our patients notice her too.

Some of our hospital patients quickly learn that when Nana walks past, there’s a very good chance they can convince her to stop for another cuddle. ❤️

Being a veterinary nurse means having a never ending list of things to do, so finding those extra moments for each individual patient isn’t always easy.

But Nana does.

Because she genuinely loves caring for them.

And some of our families may recognise her voice too. Nana is often the person who checks on your furry family member after a procedure, gives you that much awaited update, reassures you when you’ve been worrying all day, and helps you through everything you need to know before taking them home.

They may seem like quiet moments behind the scenes, but they mean so much to our patients and their families.

Nana, thank you for quietly and wholeheartedly taking care of so many of the little souls who come through our doors.

We can see just how much you care simply by the way you look at them.

And yes, Nana… we know you’ll probably be shy reading this.

But don’t be. ❤️

Our little patients are very lucky to have you.
And so are we. 🐾❤️

🦸‍♂️ TODAY’S SUPERHERO: SHAWN! 🐾

Yesterday we introduced our wonderful Brooke, and today it’s Shawn’s turn!

Although… does Shawn even need an introduction anymore? He’s already one of our Village Vet superstars! 🌟😂

Shawn has lots of experience as a veterinary nurse, but his love and experience with animals doesn’t stop there. He has also worked with wildlife and has qualifications in animal behaviour and training.

And of course, he’s the man behind our much loved Puppy School! 🐶🎓

Having someone who understands both veterinary nursing and animal behaviour and training makes our Puppy School something we’re incredibly proud of.

For families welcoming their very first puppy, and even for experienced pet families who simply want to understand their dogs a little better, Shawn has so much knowledge to share.

We honestly feel so lucky that his passion and talent get to be shared with our Village Vet families. ❤️

Now, anyone who works with Shawn knows how much he loves animals. The heart eyes are VERY real. 😍😂

But what we really admire is what comes with all that love.

Shawn has this calm, clear headed way of looking at an animal and understanding what’s really happening.

While the rest of us might be thinking, “OH MY GOODNESS, LOOK HOW CUTE!!!”, Shawn is often the one noticing that underneath all that cuteness, they might actually be anxious, overexcited or a little overwhelmed.

He notices. He stays calm. And he helps.

We think that’s pretty special. ❤️

So when you see Shawn at the clinic, please give him a 👍 and tell him he’s awesome!

He might get a little shy.

Sorry Shawn. 😂

Shawn, we’re so grateful for everything you bring to The Village Vet.

We love what we’re building together, and our whole Village family genuinely loves working with you.

Thank you for bringing your knowledge, your passion and, most importantly, plenty of laughs to our days.

We’re very lucky to have you. ❤️🐾

🌟 MEET OUR HEROES 🌟

This week, we’re celebrating the wonderful people behind The Village Vet, and there’s no better person to start with than our incredible Head Nurse, Brooke! ❤️

Brooke is one of those people who quietly holds so much of our clinic together.

With many years of experience in veterinary nursing, she brings an incredible depth of knowledge, experience and responsibility to our team. We rely on her every single day, and so much of what happens behind the scenes wouldn’t be possible without her.

But if you ask us what makes Brooke truly special, it’s her heart.

The love in Brooke’s eyes whenever she’s with our furry friends says everything. ❤️

You can see how genuinely she cares about them, and that same warmth and thoughtfulness extends to their families too.

That’s simply who Brooke is.

So if you see her at the clinic, please give her a big hello or share a few kind words with her. She’s someone who truly treasures those little moments of kindness. 🥰

Brooke, thank you for being part of our family.

Thank you for everything you do, for the responsibility you carry, and most of all, for bringing so much heart and passion to The Village Vet. We are incredibly lucky to have you. ❤️

And before you go, we have to introduce you to Brooke’s own furry family!

🐾 Oakley, Sara, Gracie and Theo 🐾

They’re a very special part of Brooke’s world. ❤️

And keep an eye out for Oakley and Sara! You might occasionally spot them at the clinic, as they sometimes come to work with Mum. ❤️
