The sad day has come to say goodbye to our practice vehicle. I have been driving the blue Subaru Outback MY04 around the farms and towns of NE Victoria for over 21years, clocking up over 370,000 kms. But the clutch has gone and it can’t go anywhere now. We will sell it unregistered and with no RWC. But I reckon, if you fix the clutch, it should have many more kms to go!

Are you an Experienced Veterinary Nurse seeking a part time job in the friendly community of Beechworth?

We are hiring!
We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse who can demonstrate:
• A Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing, and at least one year of clinical nursing and anaesthetic experience
• Veterinary nursing skills including hospital and surgical care, anaesthetic preparation and monitoring.
• Competence with performing blood collection, laboratory procedures, catheterisation, administration of medications, and performing nurse consultations and discharges.
• Availability to work around 20-30 hours per week, with some Saturday mornings and occasional afterhours emergency attendance.
• Enthusiasm and ability for teamwork, but also the initiative and confidence to work unsupervised, when necessary, with adherence to clinic protocols and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to deliver an exceptional customer care experience.
• Experience with reception duties, product knowledge and customer service.
• Keenness to become a part of the local community, and develop positive connections with our clients and the wider community.

This position includes ongoing inhouse training opportunities, plus paid study or conference leave. Our rosters have some flexibility to fit with family care commitments

Do you love the satisfaction of delivering a 10/10 customer service experience? Are you fastidiously organised with an acute attention to detail? Have you got high level oral and written communications skills?

Indigo Veterinary Services is looking for a dedicated receptionist and administration assistant, with enthusiasm and energy to be on our front line to deliver compassionate and skilled veterinary care to the community of Beechworth and surrounding localities.

Beechworth is an historic rural town located in the beautiful northeast of Victoria. We are an independent mixed practice, although the majority of our work is with domestic pets. Our current staffing is based around 2-3 FTE vets and 4 FTE nurses, and we are located in well equipped, purpose built veterinary hospital.

Your tasks in this role include:
• Coordinating the front of house, including welcoming clients and managing the flow of animals through the consultations and hospital admissions and discharges.
• Answering telephones and handling email enquiries
• Booking appointments & maintaining schedules
• Invoicing, taking payments, and managing pet insurance claims.
• Counter sales.
• Managing client’s overall experience
• Recordkeeping and filing (hardcopy and digital)
• Admin tasks that keep the hospital running
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control
• Assisting with social media campaigns and marketing programs
• Assisting with our regular program of staff meetings and training.

Employment conditions for this position include:
• Part-time position 2-3 days per week, with potential to increase to 4 days a week for the right candidate.
• Commencing salary will be at award rates (under the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award)
• Ongoing training which provides career development opportunities, plus paid study or conference leave.
• Staff discounts on products and services
• Rosters that have some flexibility to fit with family care commitments
• A job that gives great pleasure through your daily interactions with our lovely friendly clients and our supportive team of vets and support staff
• Some time spent fussing over some very cute pets.
