Meet our 2027 VNCA Mental Health Ambassador
Domenique Suriano!

In her video, Domenique shares what this award means to her and her vision for 2027, including her goal of increasing mental health awareness and exploring how we can better support the wellbeing of veterinary nurses and technologists.

She wants to investigate three important questions:
💭 What can we provide beyond EAP services?
💭 What do we need to create the mental space for a healthy work-life balance?
💭 How can we continue the conversation around recognition and compensation for vet nurses and techs?

Domenique knows meaningful change takes a village — and she hopes you’ll join her on the journey.

🎥 Watch Domenique’s video to hear more about her vision.

Congratulations, Domenique!

💙 R U OK? At Work – A practical guide for the workplace

R U OK? Day is coming up on 10 September, making it a great time to think about how we check in with the people around us.

Our latest Wellness Hub resource, How To Ask R U OK? At Work, provides practical guidance to help you recognise when a colleague may be struggling and confidently start a supportive conversation.

Veterinary nursing and technology can be demanding, so creating a workplace culture where people feel connected, valued and supported matters.
