🌱 Life skills start young! 🍼

Teaching horses the right skills from a young age can make such a difference to their confidence, manners and ability to handle everyday situations as they grow.

From leading and tying, to picking up feet, loading, being handled all over and learning to calmly navigate new experiences — these foundations are invaluable. And just like us, horses benefit from regular refreshers throughout their lives. A horse that hasn’t had to use those skills for a while can benefit from revisiting them before they become necessary.

We offer young stock handling from weanling age onwards, helping set your youngster up with a solid foundation and confidence for the years ahead. 🧡

Whether you’re preparing a weanling for their next chapter or your older horse needs a confidence and manners refresher, we’re here to help.

I guess the secret is out!

Super excited for this opportunity!

🔥 OUR FIRST WILD CARD TRAINER IS HERE! 🔥

We are very excited to officially introduce Cailin Bobbermen of Caballine Equine, South East Queensland, as our first Legacy of the Horse 2027 Wild Card Trainer! 🐴

Cailin’s journey into horsemanship is one she has built for herself from the ground up.

She didn’t grow up in a horse family or on a property — she simply started as a horse-obsessed 12-year-old girl who never grew out of her love for them.

From trick riding and showjumping to starting and educating young horses, Cailin continued to seek opportunities to learn and develop her horsemanship. Along the way she became an electrician by trade, but horses remained where her heart was, and at the end of 2025 she took the leap from a secure career into training horses full-time through Caballine Equine.

At the centre of Cailin’s approach is confidence.

She believes every horse is an individual and that there is no single method that fits them all. Her priority is creating horses that are confident in themselves, confident in their handler and able to think their way through situations rather than simply react.

Cailin has competed in training competitions including Cowgirls Gathering’s Race to Ranch, winning in her first year before returning with a Standardbred, and has worked as a Pen Wrangler at the Man From Snowy River C**t Starting Challenge. She has also completed her Equine Sports Therapy qualification, adding a deeper understanding of biomechanics, movement and physical comfort to her training.

And now she is ready for her next challenge…

🔥 THE LEGACY OF THE HORSE 2027 WILD CARD CHALLENGE! 🔥

Cailin is one of just FOUR Wild Card Trainers who will step into the Legacy arena in April.

Four trainers.
Four young horses.
One opportunity.

🏆 The Wild Card winner earns the fourth and final position in the Legacy of the Horse Championship, where they will take on our three invited Championship Trainers from around the world.

Cailin says:

“I didn’t inherit my horsemanship. I built it, one horse, one experience and one mistake at a time. And I’m still learning — I always will be.”

We think that sums up beautifully what Legacy of the Horse is all about.

Please join us in welcoming Cailin to the Legacy of the Horse 2027 Wild Card Challenge! 👏🐴

📅 14–18 April 2027

And people wonder why my horses end up so quiet 🤣 I think too often we forget to let our inner child out and do the silly things (whilst staying safe), and just enjoy our horses.

Sometimes we’re just along for the ride, and not everything will go according to plan. But a detour doesn’t mean the journey is over. Trust the process, hold onto the reins, and before long, you’ll start to see new opportunities coming your way.

Sometimes this is training, it’s quiet and slow and doesn’t always look like much, but confidence takes time, some longer than others. It’s giving them different situations to think through, letting them use their brains so they can help get you out of unideal situations than just making other robot 🫶🏼

Strong foundations create confident, capable horses.

No matter the discipline, the basics are what set every horse up for success. A solid foundation gives your horse the skills and confidence to thrive, wherever your journey takes you.

At Caballine Equine, we’re here to help build those foundations and set you and your horse up for success—no matter the direction you choose.

Poppi AKA Popsicle 💜

The little Kosciuszko kid who could. The second of the brumby girls. Truely a horse that you had to convince you were on her team, but holy wow once she was with you, she really did give you her all. She really is a case of “Wild to Wonderful” and her mum did a great job prepping her for this next stage of her life. Think she’s always going to hold a little piece of my heart, and I know she’s gonna have some amazing adventures with her family who love her to pieces 🥰

And just like that, the brumby girls have gone home. Super proud of how far they came, and beyond excited to see what adventures they get up to with their Mum!
