We recognise the significance of your pets and the place they hold in your family. Our animal health care team will offer education, advice and care to ensure your pet has the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible. We treat small and large animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, birds as well as production and equine animals. For your convenience we offer after-hours, on-call service for both large and small animals and we also have cat boarding facilities to accommodate your precious fur family while you are away.

🩷MEET THE TEAM , HOLLY & N***Y! 💚

Well, this one’s a little awkward considering I’m the one writing these posts! 😂 So I’ll keep mine short and sweet!

I’ve been part of BCAH since 2017, starting out nursing at Durham St alongside Mandy and N***y, and have been Practice Manager for the past 3 years.
I genuinely love what I do, especially working alongside a team I consider my second family. And of course, the animals are a pretty big bonus too!

And then there’s N***y…

And one of our longest serving staff member, self appointed supervisor and quite possibly the real boss of BCAH!

After 12 years, she’s perfected the art of doing very little while somehow being involved in absolutely everything.

Between demanding Churrus and Greenies, supervising reception and finding somewhere to sleep, she’s a very busy girl!

And to wrap up Vet Nurse Week, a big Happy Vet Nurse Week to all the amazing nurses out there!

It’s definitely not always an easy job, but it’s one filled with so much love, compassion and dedication. A special shout out to our little nursing team at BCAH. I’m lucky to work alongside such a great bunch of people!

💚MEET THE TEAM HELENA & JADE! 🩷

Tonight we’re introducing two more of the lovely faces that help keep our little clinic running!

Helena – Receptionist multitasker.

Helena has been with us for 3 years and brings plenty of personality, laughs and entertainment to our front desk! 😂 She’s also a huge help with all those little behind the scenes jobs that keep things ticking along.

Jade – Student Vet Nurse & Kennel Hand

Jade joined us at the beginning of the year on placement and quickly became part of the furniture! She’s hardworking, always willing to give anything a go and never complains, even when she’s handed the grossest jobs! She’s currently studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, and we reckon she’s going to make an amazing nurse!

We’re lucky to have both of these two as part of our team! 💚🐾

🐾 MEET THE TEAM
VET NURSE WEEK! 💕

We’re back with another two of our nurses, Kath & Joel! 🐾

Kath started out in veterinary nursing before deciding on a complete career change and running her own business for 10 years! Luckily for us, she decided to come back to nursing!

Kath is caring, compassionate and always up for a laugh, usually with a bit of dark humour thrown in, She’s definitely our crazy cat lady of the team! 🐱

Joel has been with us for almost 5 years, starting out as a kennel hand while studying then worked his way into nursing.

He’s definitely more of a dog person and has become a familiar face to many of our clients and their pets over the years. He has also become N***y’s number one fan and I believe she feels the same 😂

Both bring their own personalities to the clinic, and we’re lucky to have them as part of our little team!

🩷MEET THE TEAM
VET NURSE WEEK 💚

Today we’re celebrating two of our very loved nurses, Mandy & Tara! 🐾

Mandy has been part of the veterinary industry for an incredible 16 years and brings so much experience, knowledge and care to our team. She’s always happy to jump in wherever she’s needed… although if there’s grooming involved, she may suddenly become very busy somewhere else 😂

Tara has been with us for 6 years and is our resident dental queen . When she’s not looking after our patients at the clinic, she somehow also finds the energy to be a firefighter 🚒🔥 because apparently one job just isn’t enough!

Between the two of them there’s a whole lot of experience, laughs, hard work and genuine love for our patients.
We’re very lucky to have you both as part of the BCAH family. 💚🐾

N***y has taken over reception and apparently approved the long weekend…
so who are we to argue?

Bathurst Central Animal Hospital will be closed Monday 5th October for the Labour Day public holiday.

We’ll be back Tuesday 6th October from 8:30am, with our phones manned from 9am.
