For four years I've poured my heart and soul into this business. I've worked long days, late nights, missed time with family, and given everything I have to caring for animals and helping people.

What many people don't see is that for those same four years, I've also had to deal with ongoing bullying and negativity. I've stayed quiet, I've tried to rise above it, and I've continued showing up every day because I love what I do.

But the truth is, words and actions have an impact. I'm only human, and carrying that weight for so long has been exhausting.

There have been times I've questioned myself, my abilities, and whether all the hard work was worth it. Yet every time, the support from my amazing clients, friends, family, and community has reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

I'm sharing this not for sympathy, but because I know I'm not the only small business owner who has faced this. Behind every business page is a real person with feelings, struggles, and a genuine passion for what they do.

To those who have supported me, trusted me, recommended me, and stood by me over the years—thank you. Your kindness has meant more than you'll ever know.

I'm still here. I'm still doing what I love. And I won't let negativity define me or the business I've worked so hard to build. ❤️

Snakes are definitely still active — and today was a reminder why it’s important to stay alert around your home and pets.

This Tiger Snake (Notechis scutatus) was found a little too close to a house and the dogs, so it was safely collected and relocated away from residential areas.

Tiger Snakes are highly venomous and should never be handled, approached, or provoked.

I’ve been sent 3 different photos just yesterday of snakes out and about when they should normally be in brumation 🐍❄️

For those who don’t know, brumation is basically the reptile version of hibernation. During the colder months, snakes slow right down, become less active, and spend most of their time hiding away to conserve energy and stay warm.

But with these warmer days popping up through winter, it can bring them back out briefly to bask, find food or water or move around before cooling off again.

So yes — snakes are still active, even in winter! Always keep an eye out around your yard, gardens, sheds, and sunny areas where they may come out to soak up some heat.
