A gentle reminder to the community to TAKE CARE with your cannabis products.
With the increasing prevalence of medical-strength cannabinoid products, the potential for pet ingestion is increased. It's important to remember these *are* medications and should be handled as such! Our pets are more sensitive to THC than we are, and even small doses can cause significantly stronger adverse effects. In severe cases, especially with potent medical-strength products, our pets can experience coma, seizures, or even death if they are not treated promptly. Talk about a bad trip!!
Fortunately, most pets can be supported through their intoxication, we just need to know so they can receive the best therapy for their situation. This also helps us make sure we have the correct diagnosis, and we don't worry you over much more serious (and expensive!) conditions! We promise, there will be no judgement and you have a right to privacy!
