Today we’re celebrating our nurses and the care, skill and patience they bring to looking after your pets.

From comforting an anxious patient and supporting surgery to helping clients and keeping each day running smoothly, there’s so much they do. We’re grateful for the kindness and dedication they bring to both our hospitals.

Tonight’s unofficial hospital statistics:
Number of dogs who know exactly where the treats are kept: All of them
Number of cats willing to answer our questions: 0
Number of patients who suddenly feel better when treats appear: Surprisingly high
Number of puppies who can sit perfectly—when they feel like it: Many
Number of pets pretending they haven’t been fed: Too many to count
Number of staff who know clients by their pet’s name: 100%
Number of pet owners carrying a bag of poo and nowhere to put it: 😜

🦜 Bird Enquiries – A Small Change to Our Procedures

Following the recent detection of the H5 strain of avian influenza in wild birds in Australia, we have updated our procedures for bird presentations.

If you have found a sick or injured bird, please call us before bringing it to the hospital. This allows our team to provide the most appropriate advice and ensure the safest arrangements for both patients and staff.

Pet birds continue to be welcome for veterinary care. 🐦
