🐴 WHAT DO WE DO AT FREEDOM EQUINE EDUCATION? 🐴
You might have seen our posts, photos and videos, but do you actually know what we offer?
At Freedom Equine Education, we are about so much more than just teaching people how to ride horses!
We work with everyday people and everyday horses, helping build confidence, understanding, skills and stronger relationships between horses and humans.
So, what exactly do we do? 👇
🐴 PRIVATE RIDING LESSONS
Whether you've never sat on a horse before, you're returning to riding after years away, or you're an experienced rider wanting to improve your skills, we've got you covered!
Our lessons are tailored to the individual, focusing on developing confidence, balance, communication and understanding.
We teach children and adults of all ages and abilities, including people with disabilities, anxiety and additional support needs.
Don't have your own horse? That's okay! We have school horses available.
🐴 GROUNDWORK & HORSEMANSHIP LESSONS
You don't have to ride to learn about horses!
We teach you how to understand your horse's behaviour, communicate clearly, establish boundaries, build trust and develop a better partnership.
We focus on understanding the WHY behind what your horse does, rather than simply telling you what to do.
🐴 HORSEMANSHIP CLINICS
Our clinics bring people together to learn, challenge themselves, build confidence and have fun!
We cover groundwork, ridden exercises, communication, obstacles and practical skills you can take home and continue working on.
Our clinics are welcoming to children, adults, nervous riders and green horses.
They're also a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded horse people!
🐴 GROUP ACTIVITIES & FUN DAYS
Learning doesn't always have to happen in a private lesson!
We organise group activities for our existing clients, including games days and club days.
These activities give riders the opportunity to practise their skills, build friendships, gain confidence around other horses and riders, and most importantly, have fun!
🐴 NON-RIDING HORSE EXPERIENCES
Love horses but don't necessarily want to ride?
That's perfectly okay!
We offer opportunities to simply spend time with horses. This might include patting, grooming, feeding, leading, washing or learning some basic groundwork.
Perfect for children and adults who want to enjoy being around horses without the pressure of riding.
🐴 SELF DISCOVERY THROUGH HORSES
Our ground-based self-discovery sessions offer something a little different.
Through interacting with horses, we explore things such as confidence, patience, communication, boundaries, trust, emotional awareness and personal behaviours.
These sessions are about learning more about yourself while developing a connection with horses. No riding required!
💜 WHAT MAKES FREEDOM EQUINE EDUCATION DIFFERENT?
We don't believe there's only one type of rider, one type of horse or one way that everyone should learn.
Some people want to become better riders.
Some want to feel safe around their horse.
Some want help understanding their horse's behaviour.
Some simply want to spend time with horses.
And some want to achieve something they never thought they'd be capable of.
All of those goals are equally important to us.
We believe in patience, kindness, consistency, education and giving both horses and humans the time they need to learn.
We welcome beginners, nervous riders, children, adults, people with additional needs and anyone who simply loves horses.
There are no silly questions, and you don't need to know anything about horses before getting started.
📍 Based in Bamawm, Victoria, with lessons also available at your own property (travel fees apply).
📅 Lessons available Monday to Saturday.
