Ballarat Pony Club Ballarat Pony Club is an active and growing equestrian club that provides excellent facilities within the beautiful Victoria Park Equestrian Precinct.

Ballarat Pony Club is an active and growing club that is dedicated to helping its members succeed. Success may be measured in many different ways....making a new friend, doing up your girth by yourself for the first time, learning rising trot, or perhaps competing in your first Grade 1 Horse Trials. We cater for all ages and levels from 5 to 25. Our instructors are excellent, our grounds are magnificent and our facilities are second to none in Western Victoria. We are proud to work closely with our Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association to ensure our members have facilities that are safe, exciting and challenging as they progress. Why not come and see for yourself? Leave us a message if you would like to visit us during a rally!

Who says the kids get to have all the fun?! 😂🐴

Some of our Ballarat Pony Club parents were out having a crack over the weekend too!

First up, Club President Peter and Emma, our resident -6★ event riders, were in action at the HRCAV TTT Horse Trials at Werribee. Grand ambitions, with the riding ability still playing catch-up! 🤣

Then there’s our actual, real-deal 5★ eventer, Chief Instructor Yona Lloyd, who was competing at Oxley HT.

Unfortunately, Yona gave us all a fright with a fall that had our hearts in our mouths! 😬

Hope you’re feeling fighting fit again very soon, Yona! ❤️

Great to see the grown-ups out there having a go too, although perhaps a little less drama next time!

A win AND a first 1*? Not a bad weekend’s work! 🏆🐴

Asha had plenty to celebrate at Oxley Horse Trials over the weekend, with both her horses giving her something to smile about!

First up, Asha and Lady Gwen took out the win in the EA95, with the pair being the only combination in their class to jump clear cross country! 👏🥇

And as if that wasn’t enough, Asha also ticked off a pretty exciting milestone with Danson Don Bardot, completing their very first 1* together!

Two horses, two fantastic achievements and one very proud Ballarat Pony Club!

Two ponies, six classes and a whole lot of ribbons! 🐴🏆

Zeva certainly had a busy Sunday at Maldon, taking both Sid and Bug along for a crack at the Horse Trials, Combined Training and Super Cross!

Sid was on fire in Pony Club Grade 3, taking out 1st place in all three events! 🥇🥇🥇

Not to be outdone, Bug tackled his very first Horse Trials in Pony Club Grade 4, finishing 2nd by just one point! He also picked up a 3rd in the Combined Training and 2nd in the Super Cross.

What a day! Two ponies, some brilliant results and a pretty impressive ribbon haul to bring home.

A podium finish and a clear cross country on his very first attempt! 🐴👏

A big congratulations to Ellie and Ted, who finished 3rd in Pony Club Grade 4 at Maldon Pony Club Horse Trials!

It was Ted’s first ever cross country course, and he tackled it clear! What a great way to start his eventing career!

Plenty for Ellie to be proud of, and we can’t wait to see how this pair progress.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Who knew we had so many runners in our Pony Club community?!

A huge shout-out to our awesome instructor Sasha and her fiancé, who both completed their very first marathons at the Melbourne Marathon Festival over the weekend!

That’s a massive 42.2km each, and an incredible achievement for them both! 👏

Apparently our Pony Club crew are just as determined out of the saddle as they are in it!

Well done to you both! What a fantastic effort! ❤️

More great results for some of our Ballarat Pony Club crew at the Maldon Pony Club Horse Trials and Super Cross! 🐴👏

Lani and Misti had a fantastic run in Pony Club Grade 5, finishing 5th with a double clear and securing their first required qualifier for the State Championships! Misti was an absolute star, even managing to ignore Cookie calling out to her from the sidelines! 😂

Meanwhile, Reegan and Cookie took on the Open Grade 6 Super Cross, finishing 2nd! 🥈 It was Cookie’s first cross country course away from Ballarat Pony Club grounds, and a great effort from both of them as they continue to build their partnership.

And a huge congratulations to Thomaiy and Raff, who took out 1st place in the Open Grade 5 Super Cross! 🥇

Some fantastic results, new experiences and plenty to be proud of!

Well done, girls and ponies! ❤️

Sunshine, a cracking dressage test and a fourth-place finish! ☀️🐴

Nyah and Wh***ey had a great day out at Maldon Horse Trials, competing in Pony Club Grade 4 and starting with a dressage test for just 23 penalties! All that hard work on their dressage is certainly paying off!

Wh***ey made light work of the showjumping, then it was off into the bush for cross country.

It was only Wh***ey’s second time tackling a different cross country course at a competition, so there were a few moments of uncertainty. Nyah took her time, gave him plenty of confidence and brought him home safely.

The pair finished 4th overall, with lots to be pleased about and more experience under their belts.

Well done, Nyah and Wh***ey! ❤️👏

A huge congratulations to Ameika and Winter, who had a brilliant day at the final round of the Barwon Equestrian Dressage Series (B.E.D.S.), held at Mount Duneed Pony Club.

Competing in Pony Club Grade 2, the pair came away with a 2nd place, 1st place and Champion, topping it all off by being crowned Overall Series Champions! 🥇

What a great result and a lovely reward for all the work they've put in together.

Well done, Ameika and Winter! We're so pleased for you both! ❤️🐴

🏃‍♀️ A big shout-out to Ballarat Pony Club rider Mia, who completed her very first half marathon at the Melbourne Marathon Festival over the weekend!

That's 21.1km of determination, hard work and perseverance, and an achievement to be incredibly proud of! 💪

We love celebrating what our members are getting up to, both in and out of the saddle, and this one is definitely worth celebrating.

Well done, Mia! You should be very proud of yourself! ❤️
