Rockfields had a new foal born through the night. A double cream c**t.
He has no name for the moment.
We also had a palomino filly born in the first week of August and a nearly 3 week prem buckskin filly born a couple of days before the first filly...all 3 are doing well.
I need some new photos though.
I hadnt realised they were not posted here.

This year we have 10 foals due, the most we have ever planned in 1 season, we are very excited. Keep watching this space. They are all Brosha Park Talisman grandchildren.

This week our 16 horses and ponies consumed 2 export bales of Oaten Hay in 5 days. That's 1,200 to 1,400 kilos of high quality feed. Atlib I didn't put a hey net on them because I wanted to let them eat as much as they could whilst it was so cold and wet. That's approximately 87.5 kg each. I did this because I knew that the bad weather could strip the weight off them quickly.

Horses need to consume 1.5% to 2.5% of their body weight in total forage (including hay and pasture) every day. For a 500 kg horse, this equates to 7.5 kg to 12.5 kg of hay daily. Over a 7-day period, that exact same horse will need roughly 52.5 kg to 87.5 kg of oaten hay.

This is without any variables of bad weather, age and breed.
Breed plays a massive role in how a horse metabolises feed

⭐️ Rockfields The Wizard Shining with His Young Rider ⭐️

We are thrilled to share an exciting update on Rockfields The Wizard (Wizzy) and his talented young rider, Charlotte! This incredible pair had a standout day at the Loop Line Pony Club event, showing just how beautifully they’ve come together as a team.

In a truly proud moment, Wizzy and Charlotte took out Age Champion, winning their very first garland and making a lasting impression in both the show ring and sporting events. Their hard work and connection shone through all day, capped off with an impressive second place in D Grade jumping.

Seeing Wizz thrive in his home and partnership brings us so much joy. We always knew he had the heart and talent — now he's proving it in the ring with a young rider who clearly adores him.

Huge congratulations to Charlotte and her Mum, and a big thank you to Loop Line Pony Club and all the generous sponsors for such a well-run and memorable event.

We couldn’t be happier to see Rockfields The Wizard continuing to do what he does best — making dreams come true. 🫶🥰😁

An update from Rockfields The Wizard and his lovely owner Charlotte.
"Fantastic morning at Bowral show. It was a last minute decision to go - literally got the ponies out of the paddock and plaited up at the show but it was well worth it "
