We're hiring! NEGS Equestrian Centre is looking for Stable Hands to join our team from Term 4, 2026.

This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves horses — you'll be involved in daily feeding, rugging and welfare checks, keeping our stables and tack rooms running smoothly, and supporting our student riders as they learn proper horsemanship and safety.

Part-time and casual positions are available, with flexible morning and afternoon shifts across weekdays and weekends — we're happy to talk through split shifts at interview to find what works for you.

Position Available - Stable Hand
Part-Time / Casual – from Term 4, 2026

About the Role:
NEGS Equestrian Centre is seeking dedicated and experienced Stable Hands to join our equestrian team for Term 4, 2026.
This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of care and welfare for our horses while fostering a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our student riders.

Key Responsibilities:
Horse Care & Welfare: Carrying out daily feeding, watering, rugging, and health/welfare checks for all resident and student horses.
- Student Supervision: Assisting and supervising students during Equestrian Centre opening hours to ensure safety, proper handling, and adherence to school protocols around horses.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintaining clean stables, yards, tack rooms, and feed areas.

Shift Details & Schedule:
We are looking for coverage across weekdays and weekends. Standard shift times generally fall within the following windows:

Weekdays:
Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Weekends:
Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Afternoon Shift: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Flexible shift patterns and split shifts can be discussed during the interview process to suit suitable candidates.
