🐾 Looking for a Special Home 🐾

Meet lovely Skip (Skippy) who is searching for a forever family.

Skip has spent most of his life as a stray and is FIV/FeLV positive.
While his diagnosis means he may need a little extra consideration, he has just as much love, personality, and companionship to offer as any other cat.

FIV/FeLV positive cats can live happy and fulfilling lives in the right environment. He will need to be an indoor-only cat and ideally the only cat in the household, or live with other compatible FIV/FeLV positive cats.

Unfortunately, his diagnosis makes it extremely difficult for rescues to take him on, and the council is also unable to accept him. Because of this, finding him a loving forever home is more important than ever.

This sweet boy deserves a chance to be loved and cherished. If you think you could offer a safe and caring home, or if you would simply like more information about his condition and care requirements, please contact our clinic.

Due to the recent cases of avian influenza (bird flu) in Western Australia, Foothills Animal Hospital is currently unable to accept sick or injured wild birds until further notice.

This precaution is necessary to help protect our patients, staff, and the wider community while following current biosecurity recommendations.
If you find a sick or injured wild bird, please contact or take it directly to a licensed wildlife rehabilitation organisation, such as WA Wildlife, for advice and care.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe. We will provide updates as the situation changes.
