As of 30th July 2026, Victoria has confirmed its first positive case of H5 avian influenza (bird flu), so it’s important to take precautions to help protect you and your pet, our team and the wider
community.
If you need to bring a pet bird or wildlife patient to our clinic, please call us first on 03 7037 8707 so we can provide the appropriate advice and prepare for your visit.
If you see a sick, injured or dead bird:
❌ Don’t touch it.
Keep pets away.
Record details of what you have seen.
