What is your dog capable of at 5 months old? Answer: more than you think! Could thee guys do this on day 1- no way. Yet here they are smashing it.

My next available obedience course is September 13, 20, 27, 9am-12pm, Ararat, $660.

Next therapy dog course is June 29-July 2, Ararat, $2000. 1 place available.

Want a dog that walks like this?
The last 2 dogs are 5 months old.
The first 2 are walking without a halti.
The last is responding to a person who has mobility issues.

This is what my obedience course teaches. It is recommended but not required to do the obediemce course before the therapy dog course. None of these dogs had. Hence it's not required. But it does make it easier.

Calendar dates, prices and location for 2026 are as below:

Obedience Training dates for 2026:
May 17, 24, 31
Oct 11, 18, 25
Nov 15, 22, 29
9am-12pm Ararat, $660
Dogs need to be 5 months old or older. Dogs need to be non-aggressive.

Assistance Dog bootcamp for 2027:
(Possibility for Sep 2026, if numbers allow).
April 5-8, 2027 Ararat
9am-3pm, $2500
5 places available.
Dogs need to have completed my 3 day obedience course prior.

Therapy Dog Training dates for 2026:
April 13-16 Ararat
June 29-Jul 2 Ararat
Sept 21-24 Ararat
9am-3pm, $2000
Dogs need to be 5 months old or older. Friendly and non reactive. Obedience will be taught during the course.

Puppy school dates:
Course 1: April 12, 19, 26, May 3
Course 2: June 7, 14, 21 28
Course 3: July 5, 12, 19, 26
Course 4: August 9, 16, 23, 30
Course 5: September 6, 13, 20, 27
Course 6: December 6, 13, 20, 27
All pups need to be between 8 weeks - 18 weeks old on the date of their first class. All pups nees to be vaccinated.
$200 per course.

Fun Agility dates:

Agility this morning. Purely for fun. Toby and Mel smashed it out. Ignored the other dogs. Children. People. And recovered speedily with just voice when he went to have a sniff around of where the pups had been.

Sundays 9.30am.
$150 for a 10 session pass.
Or $20 per session.
All ages welcome.
Only friendly non-reactive and non-agressive dogs.

Come along and have some fun. :)

A busy day today for our therapy dogs in training. First stop the farm, where we tried out their new obedience in a new distracting environment with turkeys, chooks, and other exciting smells.
Next we headed to the park, where we met some of the public for a visit, and experienced a flock of ducks that came to say hi.
Then off up the main street to practice our walking, and meeting and greeting of more people.
Finally ending our day with our last theory session of all things therapy dogs (the research that exists, how to use them, what insurances you need, hygeine requirements, duty of care, and more).

Looking forward to our testing day tomorrow. :)
