I'm sure people think when they pay a home salon or any groomer for their dogs groom 100% of that money goes to the groomer.
Here's an actual breakdown
Groom cost $100
Tax $20
Consumables $15
Insurance $5
Sharpening & equipment maintenance $5
Power & Water $4
Total paid to me $51
Most grooms take around 2 hours so that price pays me $25.50 an hour.
Would you work with dogs that sometimes want to bite, scratch, clean up the toilet accidents and be on your feet all day for $25.50 an hour?
Please think before wondering if your groomer is charging too much.
Our expenses are constantly rising so our prices have to keep up with this.
It's not an easy job where the puppies give you kisses and wag their tails all day.
Most groomers myself included love working with dogs and do our very best to make each one feel calm and special during grooming but make no mistake - it's not easy and our running costs are not cheap

Good morning my amazing clients and your humans. Just wanted to give you all the heads up that as of the 1st of September 2026, we will be implementing a small price increase. First time in 5 years. It’s not something that I wanted to do and I have been putting the increase off for as long as I possibly could. Our new price list will be at the salon from tomorrow and all changes will be made on the booking link on September first.
Thank you all so much for you support and see you all soon ###
