Our team know that Ollie is a sensitive little gentleman, so Dr. Erin and nurses Jade and Kendyl took extra care to make his visit as comfortable as possible.
Low-stress handling is important for a positive and calming experience for our patients and it also helps reduce the risk of scratches and bites.
When cats are relaxed we are able to get more accurate findings during physical examinations and diagnostic tests. Calm cats also recover faster and return home sooner following procedures and surgery.
If your cat is anxious about veterinary visits, speak with your vet about whether calming medications may be appropriate.
Reducing stress can help create a better experience for everyone involved.

Working in a vet clinic isn’t all just kitten and puppy cuddles, so when we do get to sneak some snuggles in you best believe we’ll take a pic to capture the cutest faces!
Dr Subi fell in love with little Zeus who came in for his 3rd puppy vaccinations!
Subi was all smiles and Zeus was all ears!!👂

Meet Little Lady!

The sweetest of peas.
Lady is currently being fostered by one of our team members but looking for a forever home!

Lady is approx 6m old. Playful and energetic, very friendly and open to other people and dogs. (Has not been tested with cats)
She has been a quick learner and already behaving really well in the home.
At night time, Lady will snuggle up with you for a movie night.

Lady's adoption is inclusive of desexing, first vaccination and worming.

Please phone or pop into the clinic for any other questions or to arrange a meet and greet :)

What happens when a litter of pups are suspected to have eaten some rat bait?
Our whole team gets involved!!
Luckily their lovely owner caught them early and Dr Erin coordinated inducing all the pups to vomit - this helps remove any ingested rat bait from the stomach.
Vomiting is never a fun experience so Nurse Kendyl, Nurse Jade, Receptionists Ines and Nat as well as our manager Annuska all pitched in to make sure they received some love and felt okay!
The rascals are all doing better and have hopefully learn their lesson! 🐀 ❌
Just a reminder to all that rat bait is tasty to rats and mice, but also to dogs and cats! Keep it out of reach of curious pets!

Farewell Dr Clemence !
This week will very sadly be Dr Clem’s last week in clinic before she heads out bush for community work and then on extended leave.
Clem joined the clinic 3.5 years ago and has been much loved and one of our most dedicated and valued vets. To her team, her patients and her work.
During her time here, Clem has loved treating all creatures great and small - horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, camels, frogs, kangaroos, pigs, reptiles, wildlife and even some fish! She is a skilled surgeon and is in her element with any kind of surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Clem is a fantastic and committed community vet and has been part of a vast number of trips all over our central Australian region, treating, desexing and caring for all the camp dogs, cats and other pets in the communities! This is her favourite part of the work she does here and will miss the long scenic drives and lovely community spirit.
Behind the scenes, Clem is our clinic clown and we will miss her jokes, positive spirit and dorkiness.
Clem will be taking extended leave with her partner Matt to visit her family who now all live overseas and see a few fun parts of the world! She has said she will very much miss Alice Springs and hopes to be back sooner rather than later!
We will miss her bright face and hard work and will be awaiting her return very eagerly !
