I would like to take this opportunity to address the complaints, concerns and challenges associated with organising our event in a remote location. Unlike other areas with more frequent events, our situation necessitates earlier planning and confirmation to ensure our participation. The costs of flights, accommodation, and other necessities are substantially higher for us, and certainty regarding our entries is crucial.
Our local community consists of only three exhibitors, making the impact of uncertainty more significant. We can't just travel an hour down the road to another show!
I urge participants to recognise the distinct challenges we face and plan accordingly. By budgeting yearly for earlier entries for our shows and providing support, participants can contribute to the sustainability and success of our club. Cancellation is not our preferred outcome, as we stand to lose a lot more than you if it occurs.
I encourage participants to consider the efforts of our hardworking community and submit their entries in a timely manner to ensure a successful ongoing event in July.
