Our dedicated team are happy to help anyone in store as we can not give personal animal advice over the phone or online as the site is manned by "Birdsvilles" key board warrior (facebook admin), who does a fantastic job with online but does not work in the store and does not have the vast knowledge that our in store experts have.

Meet Kudu 🧡 A 13-year-old cockatiel with the biggest personality and the softest heart. In this clip he’s doing his party trick — whistling “If You’re Happy and You Know It” (though he’ll happily wander off into his own tune halfway through 😂).

Kudu says “Hello Kudu” and “What you doing”, does a spot-on soft drink can opening sound (so don’t try sneaking one past him), and loves nothing more than being part of the family chat with his deep rustic chirp. He’s travelled all over Australia in his own bird backpack and was a legend with the family dog.

He’s gentle, clever and SO ready to bring his big personality to a new home — but he chooses his people in his own time. Patient families with kids, this good boy is looking for you. Come meet Kudu in store 🐦

🐟 Spotted at the pond near Green Square train station: a wild goldfish crew living their best life! A fancy fantail (proof you don’t need to be fast to be fabulous) cruising alongside two sleek comets. Sydney’s got secret aquariums hiding in plain sight if you know where to look 👀

Reminder that goldfish are a serious commitment, not an impulse buy — the ones in this pond started out as someone’s pet before they outgrew their tank (or their owner’s patience).
