Alderley Enoggera Veterinary Practice Vetwell uniquely operates as a collective of veterinarians practicing at a small number of locations

The entrance to the Alderley & Enoggera Veterinary Practice is sheltered by a welcoming shady tree. Clients and pets have the option of an al fresco wooden deck waiting area or a cosy waiting room within the converted Queenslander practice building. The practice is conveniently tucked away, just a little bit down Alderley Avenue, away from the bustle of busy South Pine Road.

🐾 MEET THE STAFF — CONNIE! 🐾

Say hello to Connie! 👋✨

🎓 A UQ graduate (2020), Connie brings plenty of experience, enthusiasm and a love for learning.

🐱 At home, Connie is kept very busy with 2 cats, 1 bearded dragon, and her daughter — so there’s never a dull moment!

🥾📚 When she’s not at work, you’ll find Connie hiking, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying the great outdoors.

And, of course, Connie absolutely LOVES cats! 🐈💕 We’re pretty sure her feline friends have her wrapped around their paws!

We’re so lucky to have Connie as part of the team! 🌿🐾

🐾 Meet Claire — Veterinary Nurse
Claire has been nursing in general practice for the past 6 years and has a special soft spot for all things feline! As a proud cat mum to two cats, she’s definitely no stranger to the unique personalities and antics that come with having cats around.

Claire particularly enjoys surgical nursing, where she loves being part of the team behind the scenes and helping everything run smoothly from start to finish.

When she’s not at the clinic, Claire loves getting out and about on her bike — especially when there’s a local café, market or the gym at the end of the ride! 🚲☕ She also enjoys getting creative with arts and crafts and experimenting in the kitchen with a spot of cooking.

With a love of cats, surgery, good food and an active lifestyle, Claire brings plenty of enthusiasm (and probably a few cat stories!) to the team. 🐱💚

🐾💛 Sweet Fox came in for her spey! 💛🐾

The delightful Golden Retriever, Fox, was in for her spey recently and, as you can imagine, she received lots of cuddles and attention from the team. 🥰

She is such a sweet little girl, and we all look forward to watching her grow and welcoming her back for plenty more visits along the way! 🐶✨

Rest up, gorgeous Fox — see you next time! 💕

Sarah — Veterinary Nurse
Sarah has been working as a veterinary nurse since 2007 and brings nearly two decades of experience, compassion and a genuine love for helping animals and their families.

A country girl at heart, Sarah has embraced life in the local community and now happily calls herself a local. Outside of the clinic, she keeps busy raising her two children and spending time with her beloved dog.

Sarah has a particular interest in geriatric patients, with a special appreciation for caring for older pets and helping them enjoy their golden years as comfortably and happily as possible. She loves supporting both pets and their owners through the unique challenges that come with ageing.

When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll most likely find Sarah enjoying family life, getting outdoors and making the most of time with her two- and four-legged family members

TICK SEASON IS UPON US!
Paralysis ticks are found along the east coast of Australia, so with the warm weather already here and school holiday travel plans all booked, it is imperative that you get your pets flea and tick prevention up to date.
There have been a number of cases seen over the past few weeks from those enjoying our beautiful surrounds and even from animals that do not venture out of their yards! Local wildlife (possums/ bandicoots etc) can carry them into your yard, making all pets at risk.

KNOW THE SIGNS!!
**Weakness of the hind legs
**Gagging/coughing/vomiting
**Difficulty breathing
**Change to the bark or meow
Paralysis ticks can be life-threatening, so don’t wait until a tick is found!
Need more preventives, or just want to check that your pet is covered? Give us a call or pop in, and we can chat about the many topical or chew options or the yearly injection.
