You never quite know what you will find when you actually look inside a horses stomach 👀 📸
A gastroscope is a great way to see what is going on instead of just guessing. Horses can have squamous or glandular disease or a combination of both. What we find will determine what treatment is recommended, the duration of treatment and ongoing management.
One important thing is to have the horse withheld off all feed so we can get a good look at all areas of the stomach. If you don’t have a stable you just need to get creative!!
