Our Equine Connection Sessions are about so much more than spending time with horses. They’re about learning to truly see, understand and communicate with them, while also discovering more about ourselves along the way.

Through gentle guidance and Equine Whispering, we explore the subtle language horses use every day — body language, energy, intention and emotion — helping create a partnership built on trust, respect and genuine connection.

🐴 For Horse Owners
Bring your own horse or we come to you locally and discover a different way of communicating using liberty and natural horse herd methods learn to recognise what your horse is telling you, regulate your own energy and emotions, and see how even small changes in you can create a completely different response in your horse. The result can be greater trust, calmer communication and a deeper, more willing partnership.

Work alongside one of our beautiful herd and experience just how powerful connection with a horse can be. Horses naturally respond to what is happening in the moment and can often mirror our energy, emotions and body language, giving us immediate, non-judgemental feedback.

By learning to slow down, breathe, become more aware of our bodies and regulate our emotions, we often see the horse soften and respond too. 🐴✨

That’s where some of the most beautiful moments happen.

💜🐴 FREE DCEC SESSIONS FOR NATIONAL SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH 🐴💜

September is National Su***de Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness, encourage connection and remind people that sometimes simply having a safe space to pause can make a difference.

This is also something that is very close to my heart. 💜 These sessions are offered in honour and memory of loved ones I have personally lost to su***de, and for every person and family who has been touched by the heartbreak of losing someone this way.

This year, Discovery Coast Equine Connections is once again offering THREE FREE Equine Connection Sessions to members of our local community who may be going through a difficult time or simply need a little extra support. 💜

There’s something incredibly grounding about spending quiet time with a horse. No expectations. No judgement. No pressure to talk.

Just a gentle space to pause, breathe, reconnect and simply be. 🐴🌿

These sessions are completely FREE, and you don’t need any previous horse experience.

As another fantastic FCIEC event comes to a close, we are proud to recognise Bella, one of our talented Distance Education students, who was awarded:

What an incredible achievement!

Watching Bella with her horse, it is clear that their success is built on something very special. Their connection reflects countless hours of training, dedication, care, and trust. Bella's well-deserved result is a testament to all she has invested.

As we reflect on this year's event, we are grateful to Riverside Christian College for making this wonderful opportunity possible. Events like FCIEC not only showcase student talent but also foster friendships, and sportsmanship.

We are also humbled by the support and commitment of the many Queensland school staff who attend with their students each year, helping to create such a welcoming and encouraging environment for the young competitors.

Congratulations, Bella, on an outstanding achievement. We are so proud of you and look forward to seeing where your equestrian journey takes you next. 🌟🐎

🐴💜 Time for a Little Break! 💜🐴

After another big and wonderful week at Discovery Coast Equine Connections, filled with some truly amazing and heartfelt moments, we have a few clients joining us for their final sessions Monday morning before we close for three weeks.

There have been so many beautiful connections, little breakthroughs, proud smiles and special moments shared between our clients and horses lately. 💜🐴 These are the moments that make what we do so incredibly rewarding.

To our adored regulars, it’s only a short pause and we’ll be back sharing those special moments together before we know it. 💜 And to our newbies waiting to begin their DCEC journey, thank you so much for your patience and understanding while we take this little break — we can’t wait to welcome you and introduce you to our beautiful herd. 🐴

First stop is Maryborough for Bella’s equestrian event 🐴✨ before our horses enjoy some very well-deserved R&R. 🌿

Then Ben and I are heading north for some fishing, relaxing and celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary 🎣💕 — a pretty special milestone!

Thank you to all our wonderful clients and families for your continued support, trust and for allowing us to be part of so many heartfelt moments.

And we may just have a little surprise waiting when we return… 👀🦄💜

Our DCEC herd is growing, with a new pony friend joining the family! We can’t wait for everyone to meet them and share plenty of new adventures and special connections together. 🥰🐴

Now it’s time for us all — humans and horses — to slow down, recharge and make some special memories. ✨

A huge congratulations to Ellie on successfully achieving her DCEC Level 3 Equine Whispering Trophy! 🏆✨

This achievement is so well deserved and reflects the dedication, patience and beautiful connection Ellie continues to build with our horses.

Watching her confidence, communication and horsemanship skills continue to grow is something we are incredibly proud of. Every level represents so much more than a trophy — it represents persistence, trust, learning and the courage to keep challenging yourself. 💜

Well done, Ellie! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you achieve as you work towards Level 4! 🌿🐴
