🐾 Meet Max — our furry hero on a big recovery journey. 🖤
Four weeks ago, one of our special staff pets, Max, suffered a spinal injury that left him unable to use his hind legs.
For his family, it was a heartbreaking and frightening time. But Max wasn’t ready to give up.

With the incredible support of our whole team of vets and nurses, along with an equine/rehab vet and a Melbourne-based canine physiotherapist, Max has made great strides in his rehabilitation journey.

With the help of treatments such as laser therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology taping and physiotherapy, Max is gaining function back in his hind legs and can now walk without the support of a towel.

He’s still a little wobbly, but getting stronger every day. His bouncy Labrador personality is starting to shine through again, and he has almost emptied the clinic treat jar!

Slowly but surely, Max has been showing us that those little steps really do add up.
There is still a long road ahead, but every step no matter how small is a win.

Max is a hero. But so is the incredible team behind his recovery. 🥹🐾

We are so proud of you, Max. Keep taking those little steps, we’ll be right beside you every step of the way. 🖤

“We were going to be productive today, but then we got cuddles” …. we strive to be professional, courteous, compassionate and dedicated to our work here at the clinic, but gee we love snuggles from our furry friends! Just ask Baby and Daisy who visited us today 🐈 🐶
